King Baby
I WOULDN'T WOULDN'T SAY HOT, BUT IT'S AIIGHT... I DID TELL YOU HOW I FELT ABOUT IT... Are these fast songs or boring slow ballads that are better suited for the radio? I am flying to LA tomorrow. You in that area this weekend? Kim
Okay, so I finally listened to the album yesterday. Actually, I had it on repeat most of the day. Not sure where to write my review, since there's an overload of "4" threads. So I'll just post about it here. First of all, I don't know why everyone is saying this is a shit album. I actually think it's pretty good. Standout tracks for me are: 1+1 I Care I Miss You Best Thing I Never Had Love On Top Run the World (Girls) Lay Up Under Me I'm sure other songs will grow on me, but those ones caught my ear, so I've been repeating those tracks only. The sound reminds me of what she tried with Work It Out and a few on Dangerously In Love. Of course, Work It Out flopped hard, so I think she went back to the drawing board. I'm starting to think that this "sound" is where Beyonce's heart really is. I think the whole Crazy In Love/Single Ladies/Sasha Fierce act was just her (and probably her camp) wanting commercial success. I really do think she was pressured to be more mainstream, for the most part anyways. So yeah, I approve.
