Please reread my post to clarify what I exactly said. That said, the album isn't even triple platinum. If yout big enough it is not that difficult to sell 3 million albums in the US. Yeah the album was big but it is not saying as much as you would like to believe believe.

JT is only a premier touring act imo, and he aint even a U2, RS, or Madonna. His record sales and single success has always been impressive but not exceptional. So I was missed with the record breaking comment.

Bingo!!!!!! Yeah, he is certainly the top male pop star, but outside of Bruno and maybe Usher for overall impact, he has no real competition. That makes it easy to inflate his impact.
