  1. Cool, a bunch of dated slang that no one will use in ten years.
  2. I like to use the term Rhythm Nationalist. Maybe Nationalist for short
  3. I agree that the rock stars that helped shape MTV should be recognized, but the problem is that rock is dead at this moment. It'll be hard to find where it will fit.
  4. I'm actually game for Beyoncé getting it. She actually has a decent video catalog.
  5. I think the video doomed it. Her more successful songs this era had decent visuals, not matter how good or bad it was.
  6. I'm not really feeling to song either. I'm kinda bummed Birthday flopped though.
  7. It's basic af (several years late in fact) and she could have more age appropriate lyrics, but I manage to listen to the whole thing. That's an accomplishment within itself.
  8. That wasn't even the point. But nice try. She couldn't escape blame if she tried, and that is all I am going to say.
  9. Whatever she said was taken so far out of context. Back then the Beehive and the Jan fam were at war with each other and fans got out their way to make it something it wasn't.
  10. Around the Discipline era, Natalie was sounding off on the state of the industry and stated that Janet needed to change it up. I think it was more constructive criticism than anything.
  11. He's still a force. But I do think some cracks are showing though. It seems like the 20/20 experience was hot for a few months then kinda faded. Part II wasn't received, but Not A Bad Thing did well despite good but not great sales (and radio really using it). He is not in trouble but he is vulnerable of the tide turning on him I personally never wrote Beyonce off, but I wouldn't call her self-titled album a comeback though. The success was more of an indication that her career isn't in trouble just yet. I think she through out everything at once because she risked her sales decreasing releasing the traditional way. I honestly rather not have to talk about that. But you JT stans love throwing that at us (Janet fans who dislike JT) bc you can't accept some people are not crazy about him as you are.
  12. Unless JT can prove he can change it up, I doubt he will be a dominate force will into this decade whether he releases more consistently or not. But at least he's established himself as a force in touring.
  13. Absolutely! I think it insinuates that get career is a byproduct of Michael and Madge's impact, therefore marginalizing her legacy.
  14. NO!!! You know someone is gonna find a way to create some gay conspiracy out of this if this isn't some joke.
  15. That's strange. When I first saw her I knew she was something exotic but just didn't know her makeup. I never thought she was just white.
  16. I can see where bailey, and jarryl and Game are coming from. More education does correlate to more success. Let face it. Many successful (i.e. more upwardly mobile) people had to acquire their skills through education. But it is also all about fit and other intangibles that no institution can teach.
  17. This is a tv movie though. It is probably more cost-effective and more beneficial to keep the story more concentrated.
  18. Yeah it seemed like he was about the fade away, but he manage to extend his fifteen minutes a little longer. Colby O'Donis was just a lucky feature. Never was much of anything in the first place.
  19. I saw it at Walgreens. I would buy if the bottle design was more "inclusive" for lack of a better term.
