I was reading your post taking the Bart ironically. I take the Bart everyday to get to downtown SF for work lol. There are a lot of self-hating Asians too. Its not exclusive to any minority community. Making friends as adults is hard in general. Making friends is usually of convenience. When you're looking for a specific type of friend it narrows the field even further.
