Pastor Cedric Miller, senior pastor of the 1,100-member Living Word Christian Fellowship Church of Neptune, N.J., warned last week that Facebook can lead to infidelity by rekindling old passions. Miller's own conduct came under scrutiny when the newspaper reported on the affair, to which the 48-year-old pastor has admitted. Sunday, he led a rousing two-hour sermon after offering to step down if church leaders thought him unfit to serve. The newspaper says the congregation offered strong support, with repeated shouts of "Amen" and "Praise Jesus." Miller reiterated his warnings about the dangers of Facebook, the Press reports. Miller calls the affair, involving his wife and a former church assistant, sometimes in the presence of the church worker's wife, a foolish transgression for which he has been forgiven. The Press, which broke the story, said the information was contained in testimony Miller gave in a criminal case against the assistant that was eventually dismissed. --- ps. it was a male church assistant
