I can't agree with that. I was in LA when BTW, the song was released and every pop station in that market was playing that song every hour on the hour. She had KissFM on LOCK! The promo for that album was epic, plus she was coming off of a very successful era and tour so her buzz was crazy. What happen now is that her luster has worn off. The BTW era didn't live up to the hype, and she's not the hottest bitch on the block right now. The promo for Artflop (is it to soon for that nickname?) has not been on the same level. She needs to go into hustle mode.

Ch...we got to get the bitch to record an album first. Truth be told, I think Janet could have decent success with an album release if she got all her ducks in a row. That means, Jimmy and Terry, some new producers who nobody has worked with, a label that will really support her and good songs. Even with all that she won't recapture her glory days from the late 80s and early 90s. But she could go gold and get a successful tour out of it.

I never specified the star power level of the any artist in particular. I was speaking in general of the overall musical landscape that exist today. but since you you asked, I'm sure Rihanna and KE$HA would love to debut with 270,000, seeing as how neither of those ladies has ever had first week sells on that level. Are Gaga's #s lower than expected? YES. Is her project a total failure? NO.

Oh I know they were expecting more! Her camp is very nervous right now, although they won't admit it. They weren't expecting anything under 300k. But those same numbers would be a dream for say, salina gomez, and R&B artist would kill their first born for 270k.

I'm not shocked. If you listen to her backgrounds you can hear the different ranges and textures in her voice. Vocally Brandy is gifted and that's all there is to it.

She is easily one of the biggest artist on the planet, and for a time she was THE biggest. So yeah, I expected better numbers. But i think her album is suffering from a couple of factors. First of all competition has been stiff this season with releases from M&M, Katy and the emergence of Miley as a real factor. Second of all, Gaga astectically needs a new gimic. She's been doing the whole, crazy, insane outfit thing since day one. It seemed refreshing in 2008 when she first came out, but now it seems redundant. Plus as much as her fans would never admit it, she has not changed all that much sonically since she came out either. I would be more intrigued by her if she put on a glamorous gown and sang a ballad at her piano. I think the public is no longer impressed. However, her #s are still solid. Not as good as her last, and certainly cause for concern in her camp, but I can think of a few artist who would kill to debut with 270,000 in their first week.

Truth be told, the buzz about her Bra line was VERY positive. She should have followed through on that and then she would never really have to work again and she could keep all the jacksons quiet with some hush money. A lucrative fashion line can set you up for life. Look at jessica simpson, diddy and carlos santana. The goal is to create something that will sell even while you sleep, so a fashion line or a perfume line if done correctly can be fiscally brilliant. People forget Elizabeth Taylor never had to work again after she released "white diamond". It still sells to this day.

Janet endorsed pepsi, blackglamma and nutrisystem. So technically, she's made her side hustle money as well. However, the bulk of her income came from record sells and tours. Janet had a high royalty rate so her album and single sells made her plenty of money. Plus her deal with Virgin and other secrete ventures she was involved in like "founders national bank". So she didn't have to pimp herself out too much. but for new artist the musical climate is different. Albums aint selling like they use too and physical singles no longer sell for 4.99, just 99 cent. So they have to sell the coca cola, pepsi, smart water, perfume, fashion line....etc. Now if adele's next album doesn't sell like 21, she's gonna be wishing she had taken that lo'real deal. But right now her album is at 10 million sold, so she doesn't need the money.

I'm still salty, but that's not why I don't buy his music. He's talented but his music does little for me. I like his first album but that's about it. Maybe others feel the same way. Truth be told, a lot of people who were salty about the SB never were fans of his to begin with. A better question would be why do his fans care that SOME JJ fans might still feel some kind of way?

Omoarosa is so easy to hate, but she did make some valid points about black women having to work harder. That's just a fact. Plus no one was buzzing about the Bethany show before this drama. If anything, Bethany should be thanking Omarosa for the exposure and free press. Omarosa brings drama and keeps folks interested. She brings most of the shows she's on viewership. I started watching wendy after her and omarosa got into it on her show.

Seriously? Anywho, the writing wasn't as strong as it could have been this week. Still enjoyable but a little weak. I saw all the plot twist coming from a mile away. I did like the scene with Olivia and Mellie. Whenever they do scenes together it tends to be good. Olivia's black and white dress was EVERYTHING! I do like all the strong female characters emerging on the show, however, Quinn needs to go. And truth be told, Olivia and Jake have NO chemistry and he needs to go to. They need to focus on Olivia fixing shit and get away from the love triangle.

This is how a non white person dresses up as a black person for Halloween!!! Miley looks hot, and kim is iconic. haters will deal.
