On Sunday, Chuck-E-Cheese played the Escapade video on all their screens throughout the building.. Not one of the kids knew anything about it tho and didn't even pay 2 seconds worth of attention to it.. ...except my daughter, who shouted "Dad, mom it's Janet on the TVs!!" which made everyone around her stop and look up before realizing they didn't care and continued with whatever they were doing lol.. oh and btw, right after Janet they played Love Never Felt So Good (the solo video..no JT!).. So I thought that was cool too!

He may have a tarnished legacy.. But his legacy is still fully intact and going nowhere in our lifetime.. You act as though Janet's legacy isn't tarnished in some way.. It is.. Deal with it.. I agree that some MJ fans are nuts, same with some Janet fans as well.. But I will say I do specifically remember watching MJ's This Is It O2 announcement live on CNN (yes, here in California at like 12 noon on a weekday).. So I wouldn't necessarily say the media (American or otherwise) didn't have any interest in MJ.. Granted he legit had zilch going on in his life.. He won his trial and got the fuck outta the country.. Then 4 years later, with no new music, videos, or performances he still managed to sell out 50 arena dates within hours! Close to a million seats sold! But sure go ahead and claim nobody was interested in anything he did.. But if you think the media, especially the American media, gave two shits about Janet in May of 2009 you're trippin homie.. That's prolly why she was doing another Tyler Perry "film" (a Tyler Lerry sequel, nonetheless).. After the dismal performance of the RWU tour (which I feel like is her best tour STILL btw), nobody was checking for Janet......... ..nobody.... My only point was that after MJ died, the public/media were interested in Janet and whatever she was doing far more than they had been the previous years since Feb 2004.. you think 1995 was his prime...??

she killed the AI finale! Got that standing ovation even after performing the entirety of Nothing.. Good thing she went right into Nasty right after that and gave the people what they wanted! My only point I was making is that a big factor as to why she was chosen to "close out" the AI finale that year was because just the year prior, MJ died and public interest in her was reignited.. It was a series of events.. -MJ died -Janet performed tribute on VMAs -Janet releases new single same day as VMAs -Janet opens the AMAs with 8 min performance -Janet released new GH compilation -Janet promotes WDIGMT while constantly telling how MJ's death affected her performance in the film -Janet records theme song for said film (and it's not very good) -Janet is asked to be "headlining" surprise performer on AI finale I'm just saying, if MJ hadn't passed less than a year before, I'm not so sure Janet would've been considered for the AI finale.. People wanted to see Janet more than ever in that last half decade.. That's all I was saying..

You're creating your own truth by saying "no other celeb has lied about having a natural or adopted child"... Nobody would ever know that to be fact, and it would be nobody's business regardless.. for someone who despises MJ as much as you apparently do, it must SUCK so hard to idolize a woman who loved MJ more than anything and consistently stuck by him throughout his life.. Why must you be so idiotic? nobody said him lying about his kids was a stunt, except you, just now.. It was a literal PR move.. The definition of what public relations is.. It was how he related his personal life to the public (hence, public relations).. Simple as that.. No stunt there, genius.. And where was it stated that it was going to "help" him..?? he wanted a family for years by that point.. Was he not allowed to have just that? You say Janet was protecting her "privacy" when she lied for years and years about being married, but isn't that the same thing that Mike did...protect his family's privacy? I don't think that what you've said this post is slander.. I think they're legitimate ponderings that most people (myself included) have had.. I've often wondered why he would try to convince others that these children were indeed from his own DNA.. I don't think anyone will truly ever know.. I've theorized that maybe he felt the topic of surrogates for single fathers was still too "new" of an idea back in the mid-90's.. Or maybe he knew people would further question his black pride if they knew he had Caucasian children.. even if he only had white kids because he could only find white people willing to have them for him.. With all that said, I don't think it's possible that Prince or Paris are from his DNA at all.. However, Prince II (aka Blanket) I feel could possibly have been from his sperm.. im not saying it's likely, but far more possible than the older 2 kids..

I agree with you to an extent.. I guess the reasoning I have regarding MJ having white kids is because he had finally found someone who was willing to have children for him.. That person being Debbie Rowe, a white woman, who had to have been someone he could trust since she had been the nurse to his dermatologist Arnie Klein for 2 decades by the time Prince was born. She had full knowledge of his medical history and somehow formed an impactful relationship with him over the years.. Now why he chose to not use his own sperm cells, who truly knows? My immediate reaction isn't to jump to slanderish conclusions and say he must've hated being black.. I don't feel that Angelina Jolie or Madonna or Sandra Bullock hate being white simply because they adopted children outside their own race, so I don't feel the same should be automatically applied to MJ, though I understand how some could make that connection.. For someone to live through the prime Motown era like he did with James Brown, or write Wanna Be Startin Somethin with a full-on African chant throughout the last half of that song, or write TDCAU leads me to believe that he was an absolute proud black man.. Maybe a black man that wanted the world to see him for more than just his skin color, like his talents, but proud nonetheless.. and yes I agree that Janet shouldn't have used the ALM hashtag, and that Prince should just stay out of it because, while I understand what he was attempting to say, it did ultimately come across as though he dismiss the BLM movement altogether...

Theres even an interview out there somewhere where Jimmy states that for so long they always steered away from having Janet sound like anything remotely close to her bro(s), but on this album, they basically said to hell with that notion and allowed her true and raw musical influences to shine through, regardless if that meant that she would have a similar sound to her family..
