  1. I think she looks like Janet, and honestly more so than Stevanna being in the wrong Janet fans are in the wrong. Fans need to stay in their place and remember that blood is thicker than water. Most fans have never met Janet beyond 10 minutes yet they have her all figured out. This girl knows things about HER family that could potentially make you cringe. Just like every family, there are things that we don't know & things that are dysfunctional. But fans need to mind their business Stevanna would be a much more credible source on Jackson life than any fan. She has a right to feel whatever she does about her family, you don't know Janet beyond the image you've been given. She knows Janet directly & has experiences we never, and should never, know about. So although I don't think messy things should happen on social media, family supersedes fans any day. Oh and she REALLY looks like Janet.
  2. oh I agree, and when I say interview I'm referring to just life conversation with Janet. It could have been about the creative process. That's definitely always the best and with her building the song with her singing in the studio all the bells and whistles. I more so want to see how Janet's head aligns with her music right now. Her perspective is something that is really respected. It would be a breath of fresh air when the industry is shallow & after all she's evolved from over the last few years.
  3. Actually it's not about past or present its about exposure & communication. It's about maximizing the potential of the album. So you're cattiness about referring to the past because people are asking to HEAR from her is really pathetic. I guess Janet is living in the past for doing a video for No Sleeep or showing tour footage as a means to promote the tour, despite how little an effort. You try to be so condescending when in truth people are saying Janet can do new shit & innovative things without being effected by the mainstream media...IF that's what she's trying to avoid.
  4. Also, Im over Janet performing on talk shows, so I'm cool with her not doing that. The only thing I wish is she would have given controlled interviews. Something like a Much Music (I think was the name) or an interview through periscope, or social media where she could just speak to fans & sit with Jimmy & Terry dissecting the music. I also wish she would allow people to hear from her where she is in life. Her perspective is not only welcomed, it would be like wisdom in an industry consumed in ignorance. Her statue of artistry is well respected. Being able to quote a legend is like being able to study the greats & find inspiration to tie into the music. She doesn't have to perform on shows to be respected. I think she could draw people in by going a different route.
  5. Personally, I there's parts I agree with from some posters and parts I don't. For me, I agree that if you have less expectations the surprises that do happen will be more exciting...so it's more effective to be less consumed in the process. On the same token, I understand the frustrations of knowing the potential of this album and not seeing it maximized. I also disagree that there is NO chance that grievances will EVER be heard or addressed. Didn't Janet have lunch with fans overseas on her birthday a couple years ago & discuss perspectives, her music, and them as fans as a whole? Didn't she START this promotion with "keep the conversation going" & "I've been listening..." So why is it that fans who disagree are now being shut down for following the very directions given by Janet herself. In specific, Game & some others, are quick to quote things "from her lips" but ignore that she asked for conversation, not empty praise. Conversations have varying opinions & honestly who knows what Janet has heard & is/has considered due to what her fans have suggested. Let's stop acting like healthy debates can't have positive outcomes. Because if Janet ever does say she's been listening & does what some have asked then what?
  6. but why settle for it if you didn't have to. That's the thing Janet is doing harder moves than the ones I posted & they don't even look as fluid and good. They don't look bad & I love the fact she's switched some stuff up but I know she could kill some of the other moves. Shawnette & Janet had great creative chemistry. She needs that kind of vibe again. And these girls she has now are her best dancers since damn near the originals they're being under utilized
  7. I triple that notion. It's very weak...feedback is dope and simple AF but yea...when you look at the video I posted I don't think it's too hard for Janet to do at her age & it would look amazing
  8. lmao! I don't think that was the man's agenda, but I do think they were better dancers. Also, this era isn't choreographed by Gil...but I just feel Janet could have more fluid moves.
  9. the example I posted looks better than any "fresh" thing she's done on tour. Ijs, and no the current moves do not look bad...but the point remains
  10. the conversation is not about old or new it's about Janet's movements. The correlation was drawn due to them being not TOO far from each other's age bracket. It doesn't matter who the industry is using, Janet could still have great or even better moves with someone else.
  11. Unbreakable is a classic album. Oh it is? Is that why it isn't heard all over the place? Thats basically what you just did....you see how stupid it was? Petty & illogical.
  12. The choreo is ok, but even given her age...I follow Shawnette Heard & her choreo is still the shit & would be epic on Janet & it's not TOO much either. It just has the right flow. Example:
  13. I think it might be a remix instead of a new song & I think a rerelease would hurt because she didn't fully capitalize on this the first time. Hard to regain attention.
  14. I'm feeling this place better too actually. Better debates on topics without having them being shut down. I have some I want to discuss but I'm still warming up to so it won't be taken wrong or misunderstood.
  15. well that's a different argument from the one I was addressing. Even though your grievances have some valid truth I think the business side of the tour has had some glitches, and despite what anyone is saying, the only thing that makes logical sense is that it didn't sell enough to pay for the production & make a profit. Yes she slept heavily on promotion and no one knows exactly why, but I don't think Janet is giving a blatant fuck you to her fans-specifically. I think she made some compromises and decisions that did not promote her tour or music enough. I have no clue why. But without doubt, I don't see Janet & Live Nation cancelling full shows just to say fuck you to fans. That's not really logical for either of their pockets. She could say more, unless under some type of contract, but she could engage much more.
  16. I think some times people think independence means rebellion, or it means uninfluenced, but sometimes independence is also shown by what you accept & who you allow to be your advisor. I think what one person said makes sense about Kathy Ireland & how it aligns with the Liz Taylor legacy, but in the same breath, if you can acknowledge Janet's connection AND APPROVAL of the management's direction...why is it not possible to see the same thing for her husband having influence? IMO, it's illogical to be married to a billionaire & not ask or consider advice from a business perspective. When Janet got married & started living as his wife her entire circle shifted, because now she is family with his family and she is in places...she would never have gone just by the default of marriage. That's common for all people, so when it comes to business in every other circumstance of her life she leaned into her relationship for business collaborations what makes this different? And if ANYTHING isn't that one of the goals & perks of marriage? Building together? Consideration, conversations, connections, expansion? And for every person upset that they can't buy the diamonds...I feel it can sound a little obsessive. There's millions of things for you to be able to consume with your money...Janet has music, movies, DVDs, book, videos etc. it's not her duty to pigeon hole her endeavors due to one niche aspect of her life. She seems to have more fans in even higher places too. Why can't they get exclusive things to up her bank account? Lastly, Wissam...just like Kathy Ireland, has a whole career connected to luxury items. If you're argument is that this feels elitist, then hey maybe it's perspective. I'll chose to believe those diamonds are from clean sources...every diamond isn't a blood diamond, and it's illegal in many places.
  17. It sounds to me like this show had more live vocals than some of the other shows. I really like hearing that. Also I don't think Janet has had any work done recently as far as face lifts and all that. She's been consistently the same & aging the same for years.
  18. I kinda feel indifferent about Make Me, I never really listen to it. It's not a bad song it's just one of the ones she made is how I felt. I actually think the choreo was pretty decent. There hadn't been too many vids with choreo I disliked, but I liked seeing something diff in Make Me with the jump. But Nothing lived up to its name.
  19. i love that no one counts Make Me lol
  20. Never Letchu Go is ok...Greatest X is mmmm ehhh, but Thinking Bout My Ex was actually a really good song to me. I'll even play the first two songs from time to time. I kinda agree with everyone AYF is lyrically one of her deepest in relation to her life over the years & it really hits the points by being raw and transparent but I do usually skip it. It's too heavy some times, & vocally I think it's ok...but I wouldn't call it one of her best. I miss ballads like IGL, Where Are You Now, ATAP - even tho sexy it feels like a ballad. I want a ballad where Janet would sing it out like IGL. Don't know why it hasn't happened in such a long time.
  21. Thank you for proving my point, just because it comes from her lips does not make it gold. The past creates a standard. It is like a resume. You can play dumb on this, but you can't play smart. Everyone knows this is not a real tour stop. The event goers bought tickets to the World Cup not the Unbreakable Tour. Period.
  22. From her lips - she wasn't married she was going to meet fans in Glasgow Its called PR & promotion, despite how you act, I know you're intelligent enough to decipher the difference between a tour stop at a venue specifically meant for the tour audience who bought tickets to specifically see Janet Jackson & no other form of event, and an event that Janet is doing as a gig where she will just use her already built show to fulfill the obligation. Stop policing posts to counter with points that are not even real. Janet is an artist in the business there will be things that comes from "her lips" that are used to promote her brand but do not correlate. It's cross promotion, but it's not a tour stop. Glasgow was a tour stop, London was a tour stop, Atlanta was a tour stop...unless you mean she stopped the tour to perform in Dubai...then yes, ignore everything I posted.
  23. no it's not a tour date. Wtf are you talking about its an event Janet is performing her tour set at.
  24. And I'm feeling this so much more than Janet Xone there were many moments that they would do some unnecessary bitch like shit. I liked Don & the other mod but Mikel was very unnecessary.
