    Exactly. The New Jack Swing sound did wonders for R&B/Hip Hop leading into the 90s. Maybe a new producer should try to blend the new dance sound with NJS...that could help the genre some since the new generation basically wants to dance.

    You can easily tell if a tool is used in the studio by listening to their live performances. But you can't fault him for using that tool, or anyone else for that matter. A studio album is suppose to sound perfect...plus it's not a live recording album. Now it's different with auto-tune, because that robotic sound is so annoying.

    R&B isn't dead, the artists need to reinvent themselves AND the genre. If it was the popular genre now, the music sales would still be low since majority of the things released aren't taking the industry to a new level.

    Just because you say it isn't doesn't mean it isn't. Just like Bu stated, ppl state all the time if Adele was black she wouldn't have won all those awards with a Soul/R&B album. So how about you have a seat in the corner and face the wall if you're gonna be one-sided about the topic.

    It's Soul/R&B. I don't hear any of the popular sound being an influence on her album. and R&B stations can play her, but majority doesn't. Hell BET even nominated it as R&B for one of their awards shows. Yall will just have to deal with the fact that the genre is Soul/R&B.

    Savages Was gonna watch the spiderman one, but we changed our minds at the very last second. Didn't know anything about "Savages", but the movie was great.

    Umm Adele's Soul/R&B, but I don't remember JD saying that about her. I love Frank's album, but JD is tripping if he's placing the entire genre solely on Frank. .

    The only mixtape from a singer worth listening to is Melody Thornton's 'P.O.Y.B.L.' It was so creative and unexpected from her. Ameriiiiiiiiie will have to do something unexpected for me to even think about buying her album.

    From looking at that picture, I won't be surprise if Willow's trying to tell us that she's a lesbian. I've noticed that too, but she's raised differently from most girls. Will and Jada allow them to think for themselves (to a certain extent) and have their own opinions. She's basically "figuring everything out" now compared to the early 20s gals.
