But at the end of the day only two Catwomen matter and that's Michelle Phiefer and Eartha Kitt. The rest are substitute teachers. Utopia Posted January 20, 2011 Share Posted January 20, 2011 tilda swinton was Nolan's 1st choice but she declined it (i'd LOVE to see her as catwoman, i bet Nolan wanted Catwoman to be very dark and alternative) so this makes me think that Anne was not the directors choice.
