RedSimba
I posted this topic before years ago, but I thought I'd bring it back up again... Shanice - I thought her name rhymed with Janice at first. Sade - I know it's "shah-day" but I still automatically think it rhymes with "maid." Zhané - Didn't know about the accent mark so I thought it rhymed with "main." Björk - I still think "buh-jork" in my head. Rebbie - Thought it was a short e for the longest like "Debbie." Ciara - Thought her name rhymed with "tiara." Kid Cudi - Thought the second part was "QD" but it's "kuh-dee."
Elixabef
Yeah, I also thought Ciara rhymed with tiara at first, too. And I used to think Kylie Minogue's last name was pronounced to rhyme with dialogue, rather than vogue. (So, I thought it was like "Kylie Min-ogg".) And I remember when I was 10 and bought the first Spice Girls album and pulled out the CD sleeve and looked at all the Girls' names and had to ask my mom if Geri rhymed with Gary or Jerry.
