Related News Stories: The cable network ordered 10 episodes of Perry's new program, which will target young adults and "follows the ups-and-downs of married life for Marcus and Angela," who appear in his movies "Why Did I Get Married" and "Why Did I Get Married Too?," TBS said in a statement on Tuesday, April 26. "House of Payne," one of Perry's more family-oriented shows that debuted in 2006 and is currently on its seventh season, is set to end, TBS' statement said. "Even though it will be sad to say goodbye to 'House of Payne,' I'm really looking forward to exploring new territory with 'For Better or Worse,'" the network quoted Perry as saying. "Working on 'House of Payne' taught me a lot about what it takes to make a successful television series and I'm looking forward to applying that experience to For Better or Worse." Production on "For Better or Worse" is set to begin in the summer in Atlanta. Perry is also known for his comedy series "Meet The Browns" and his new movie, "Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family," was recently released in theaters. This year, the actor and director earned 19 NAACP Image Award nominations, including nods for "House of Payne" and his films "For Colored Girls" and "Why Did I Get Married Too?"
