AFFORDABLE CARE ACT RULING

I don't understand why some people wouldn't want this health care reform......isn't everyone a winner?

In some American eyes they argue that forcing people to have insurance could mean the government can mandate that Americans "purchase" anything, I have to have car insurance, that is not an option it is law, I must carry some form of car insurance. Those who oppose the law, besides the fact it's an Obama victory, say that they are healthy and should not have to buy something they don't need. Well my car runs just fine, not a single dent in it, but yet I have to carry insurance IN CASE SOME SHIT HAPPENS, AND SHIT HAPPENS. No one alive whether in America or Australia is exempt from health care issues their entire life, at some point we all will require health care, and how is that going to be paid without insurance? Have you seen a hospital bill in America? I had a severe cut to my finger, it cost 1000.00 dollars for two stitches, because I had no insurance at the time.

People are so stupid. They're the same people who will be crying the loudest about the bill when they need surgery for something. :sigh:

This is about their own health. They shouldn't be treating it like an option to buy a warranty coverage on a PS3.

Wow that's expensive. I think we pay higher taxes over here but everyone gets completely free healthcare (and a legal requirement of a minimum of four weeks paid annual leave plus the 7 public holidays). In fact the specialist intensive care units etc are only available under free care. You can get private healthcare but it just means you get a pretty room but if anything serious goes wrong you will get sent to a public hospital anyway.

I was told by the cashier's office that if I didn't want to pay a bill then I should have gone to a clinic or somewhere else. It was late at night and I had no other place to go, and yes I did end up paying all 1000.00 dollars for those stitches. The cut was one of those things that you instantly know I HAVE to go to the hospital I can't just put a band aid on this, I KNEW I needed stitches, blood everywhere.

:umm:

So do you have to pay before you get the stitches, or after?
