  1. Well, in tester-years people were more likely to be married by 31, I think; or at least seriously contemplating it. I think now a days with the advent of the internet and apps and all these other things people like to test the waters more before moving in. I do think that before I get married to someone that we should live together first. But in terms of a relationship now; I think it is quite fine if I have my place and you have yours. We can stay at each other's places for as long as our heart content but when I'm tired of your shit either I need to leave or be able to kick you out without thinking that you might be homeless. I actually would find it odd if I was dating someone and they asked me to move in with them too quickly -- like less than a year or so.
  2. Why can't you have a relationship without living together? Isn't that how most (all) relationships start? If it progresses along then maybe we will move in together but that's around the time of marriage-thoughts. Maybe I just don't understand the question.
  3. They like "Go Forrest; Run Forrest; Run Forrest; Go Forrest!"
  4. This is not true as aforementioned.
  5. Can she though? I mean Mariah is no spring chicken; her career hay day is over; she's out of shape; her voice is shot. Meanwhile Nick is young, relatively handsome, has a great career with a vast portfolio which seems to only be growing, and probably has some energetic pipe to tie Mariah down with all the rumors of her being an industry hop. I mean who better for her than the boy? *drake voice*
  6. I think he is a serial appropriator of black culture who only indulges in the culture when it's convienet for him and distances himself when it's not. (i.e. this latest incident when he basically called Madonna the n word; then turned to ferguson for sympathy) I have absolutely no tolerance for such shenanigans from any white person -- let alone someone who makes millions off doing it. Thus, I am not here in any way for JT and that includes any African-American relationship that he has that allows him to continue his serial appropriating. Yes. As long as there was consideration. If he's like Pharell be a pal and do this show for me it will really help my career out and Pharrell agrees then it is likely that will not be a contract that can be upheld. However, if he says hey Pharrell, I have this really cool idea for a show for you to host and I will pay you x amount of dollars or I will not sue you for that copyright infringement case I have against you or the show will really help with your popularity (or basically something of benefit to Pharrell) then yes, Pharrell can be taken to court and be forced to pay damages. Courts generally do not require the enforcement of personal service contracts because of obvious reasons (slavery/indentured servitude/if you try to force someone to do a job they don't want to do it will be a shitty end product can cause more lawsuits etc.)
  7. But half of Michael's songs are songs that he shared with his brothers and a couple of Michaels was also within the last 18 months so I mean it is what it is. If you are on a song or wrote on a song then I think you should get credit for it. You took one Youtube factorization and tried to use it as an argument as to how Nicki got that many songs on the charts as if the radio doesn't play her records, as if those songs would not be on the charts except for its Youtube play. Which we know is not the case. If she's hot; she's hot.
  8. That wasn't the original argument and even still seems like another reach. In fact, this only matters if the songs would not have made the top 100 without youtube views, which I highly doubt. If that's how music is being consumed then what's wrong with Youtube counting. If you're hot; your hot. The chart is suppose to capture what's hot. Simple enough. No one is saying Nicki is greater than Michael Jackson just that she has more songs that has been on this particular chart which is not a testament in any way, shape or form, of talent.
  9. I don't think it's stupid. It is what it is in the long run. It started with people challenging other people to pay I think $100 or dump ice water on themselves to raise awareness of the disease. Then it spread to celebrities (which I think many of them are donating AND dumping ice water on themselves) Donations for the research are up dramatically so call it what you want but it's not stupid.
  10. Did she? I love Pharrell but something irked me about him since he was so close to JT.. and I can't stand him (though his first 20/20 album is pretty good).
  11. Either a verbal or written agreement will be viewed as a contract as long as there was offer, mutual assent, consideration and no contractual defenses (i.e. duress or fraud). A writing does not make something a contract. Those components make an agreement a contract. If an agreement of that sort was not made or an agreement was made but it lacks consideration (i.e. Pharrell agreed to do the show but Pharrell received no consideration then such an agreement will not be upheld in the United States court of law.
  12. Well my questions would be did Pharell have a contractual obligation to do a second season of the youtube show? If he didn't, tough shit.
  13. Going to go see him next Sunday in Atlanta with the Great, Lil Wayne.
  14. Both Eisenhower and Kennedy used National Guard to desegregate schools. I remember Kennedy because the Governor was actually trying to sit in the doorway. But my point is that I'm not sure what his opponents want him to do. He less-than-eloquently stated that he can't just condemn the police right of the bat because he is the leader of the justice system and as such he runs the risk of destroying the balance of justice by asserting his opinions. Sending in the military would not quell residences unrest and generally sense of fed-up ness. It's like what can he do?
  15. WHAT? Where are you/your parents from? Stories like this are common. Hell, just last year at my university, some 60-70 cops showed up in response to a noise complaint of a school-sanctioned African-American party in riot gear. Meanwhile, the non-school sanctioned white party was allowed to continue and was told to go back in the house for safety. We better be having these conversations with our black youths.
  16. While Mike is understandably and undisputedly the greatest of all time, you girls reach in terms of logic about featured artist getting credit for songs. Like what is really the basis of the argument? That's like saying people in groups shouldn't get credit because they don't carry the song individually. If that's the case, Mike's number would decrease probably about 25 or so. Stupid argument. Nicki writes her verses (or so we've been told) which is remarkable to have 51* tracks that you wrote on appear on the billboards. Even Mike doesn't have that even with his features. Either way you slice it, Nicki having 20 entries as a lead or co-lead artist is still phenomenal, especially considering that she's only released two albums. Either way you slice it, Michael Jackson is still much more talented, accomplished, and relevant than Nicki Minaj will ever be. All hail the King.
  17. Advice should be complied with and respected. However, no amount of disrespect short of a threat of death or serious bodily harm should warrant a deadly response by a police man.
  18. It is not overstepping their authority which is why President Obama has instructed Attorney General Holder to investigate the situation and has sent him to Ferguson. Former precedence of this can be traced back to the civil rights era when President Kennedy utilized National Guard troops to escort two African-Americans into the state ran university in defiance of the governor of the state. The problem with the criticisms is I'm not quite sure what they want President Obama to do. He's already addressed the situation and started an investigation. He can't go down there and riot himself. He can't bring Michael Brown back. He can't change the fact that police nationwide still view young African-American males as a dangerous threat and open fire on them innocently enough in a much higher rate than white counterparts. Maybe he can send National Guard troops in but what is that really going to help?
  19. Love this song. Love this video. Love Chris.
  20. I was at this day party on Sunday in Manhattan, the DJ dropped So Excited Remix
  21. I just don't understand who Kim's people are. Like who on her team is telling her these wack diss tracks are popping? It would be one thing if she was ethering Nicki on every track because then I would be here for it but she's lackluster and just disastrous to watch. She's a joke now. I remember when she was gloating about having the most successful mixtape on paypal or something like that.
  22. Angela Stanton sounds like someone scorned. She offered no proof of Phaedra's involvement. I'm sure she has to have a video recording, an e-mail, a text message or something that can substantiate her claim. If not, sounds like she's lying because she got caught.
