Well, weren't there a few tweets from people in the past few weeks saying that they were auditioning for a Janet music video? No idea if any of that is connected or true or anything.
It's a good point, but that didn't seem to me to be the way things unfolded - I could be wrong. Basically the only chance it has for repeal anytime soon is through the court system (though even that will take a couple of years at this point, due to the Supreme Court ruling today).
His backing down had nothing to do with the Senate. It was after that, when the district court ruled it unconstitutional last month, that Obama asked the policy to be re-instated despite the ruling, pending further appeals.
Obama was pretty much handed it on a silver platter, though, with the court ruling. But he backed down.
That doesn't absolve the idiocy of some of those in the Senate, but as it turned out, they didn't even end up being necessary.
I actually don't think that's bad at all . . . I'm planning to buy it but it's too early for Christmas music just yet. I think it'll likely sell quite well in December.
I've been reading that thread and really, just . . .
Just when I thought I'd heard it all, and some of that stuff on there has got me sitting here with my head in my actual hands.
I've actually liked this season a lot. Definitely more than I liked the second half of last season. They've really cut back on plot, but between the songs and the one-liners, I'm pleased.
