Basically. If Beyonce could handle all her promotion cost herself then she might as well be an independent artist. Cut the label out completely and collect all the profit. Henri is right. Janet outranks all the people above her on that list in terms of #1 R&B songs. Even if they include album positions she should still be at least # 3. And I say this as a fan of MJB, Usher, Kellz and MC. This list seems flawed.

Actually the album came out in june of 09. "Boom Boom Pow" was already dominating radio before MJ died. So its about a year and a half old. But you're right. They should wait at least another six or seven months.

Basically. I wouldn't call if her best, but its hands down one of her best moments. That song has aged well. It would easily fit into the musical landscape of today. And as a person who remembers 1993 very well, I can honestly say there was really nothing on the radio like if at that time. Especially in R&B.

She is building such a classy and respected career. I hope she has real longevity.

In Obama's defense, he had to strike the court ruling down because the courts ultimately cannot dictate the actions of the military. It he would have allowed that then it would have set a standard for future issues that the courts should not be involed in. However, as the head of the military, the buck stops with the president. So if he wanted to over turn the ban all he has to do is say so. He doesn't even have to run it by congress. But he wants to get re-elected, so he wants someone else to do it so he can take credit for getting it done, but not take the blame. Basically he's a coward. I love him but he is.

There is talk that Eddie Murphy wants to do another "Nutty professor" movie and she has mentioned she wants to focus on acting. People are starting to take her serious as an actress now, so its a good time to do this. Besides, janet isn't even signed to a record label.
