  1. I think you meant it “wasn’t” written by Janet.. and while that’s true, I’d bet she could’ve easily turned down whatever tracks she didn’t like for Discipline, unlike her first two shitty albums which she was undoubtedly forced to do regardless of her own personal feelings. and also, the fact that she’s included FB in literally every full concert show she’s done since 2008 leads me to believe she REALLY likes that song... for me, that’s one of the very few handful of tracks from 20YO/Discipline/#1’s eras that is legitimately “classic Janet with a modern twist.” Darkchild and Tasleema (the writer) knocked that shit out the park... and it could’ve/should’ve been a Top 10/#1 single had she performed and promoted it long before Discipline’s drop date..imo
  2. I didn’t care much for JD’s productions (although I love the beat to SEx, not the vocals tho).. all his songs that he made with her don’t have that timelessness to them. They are all sadly products of their era. I remember JD said in an interview around the time that he wanted to bring Janet back to what made her successful in the first place, which, in his words were “hard drums.” Eh, don’t think he did that.. As for Rodney Jerkins, I mostly enjoyed the work he did for her... Feedback is my favorite dance track/single from DJ to now. It’s a perfect song in my opinion (just wish she would’ve found a way to ad-lib some). I also really enjoyed Luv and Make Me. Heartbeat Love was def interesting.. Rollercoaster wasn’t that great imo, but I think it’s most cuz her vocals don’t fit that type of song very well. but truth be told once Unbreakable came out it was more than obvious that Janet’s sweet spot is with JJ/TL and really that should never change. And if for some reason she does feel the need to work with outside producers, it should be at the behest of JJ/TL and under their direction, unlike how 20YO went.
  3. Only a Lyft ride away... I think I’ll be there with the fam again
  4. Goodbye Christopher Robin C+ first half was rather slow and somewhat boring but the last half was very touching and it had a good ending. Domhnall Gleeson (The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi) plays A.A. Milne, the author/creator of Winnie-the-Pooh and Margot Robbie plays his wife, Daphne. They are the parents of the real Christopher Robin. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1653665/
  5. Slightly off topic but I just YouTubed a video of JT’s concert intro from his first tour stop last night and it was so lame... the guy just literally walks out on stage like the grandpa he is and the crowd barely noticed it seemed.. the band didn’t even try to make his shitty filthy song sound any type of better either.. and I also wanna warn folks to NOT watch his, ummmmm, “dance-break” (I guess you can call it ??) at the end of filthy cuz it can’t be unseen but it did provide an lol moment for meh..
  6. Bruno’s dope.. she should just replace Bruno’s name with JT and then bam it all makes sense ??
  7. Why she look like she was on the toilet doe..?! Welp.. ?? she’s gonna have to re-do it
  8. Viacom was surely a factor, but moreso it was MTV that had to have made the clear decision to blacklist her. I remember on TRL they had a segment announcing new album releases on the day that Damita Jo came out and they ran through every random album dropping that day but mysteriously didn’t even acknowledge DJ. its possible that Viacom called up the head of programming at MTV and said hey quit playing Janet’s shit until further notice, but if that’s the case then why did Viacom-owned BET continue to fiercely promote Janet and her projects? And VH1 for that matter because I remember seeing IWY and ANDS videos played on VH1 AM video blocks almost as much as BET. So I take issue with the full blame being levied at Viacom as these channels (MTV, BET, VH1) because while yes they are under the Viacom umbrella, they still have their own CEOs and program directors and marketers that also have vast input in what they choose to show on their networks.
  9. That’s a low muhfkn bar tho... the broom that just fell over in my kitchen pantry can move better than Britney
  10. I’ve noticed... that dance break after Cry Me A River was pretty cringeworthy to watch.. and weirdly his dancers were killing it but JT just looked like someone’s middle aged dad just trying to keep up..
  11. I enjoyed the music as well, mostly because his band sounded amazing.. but what made it lackluster in your opinion as a serious JT cocksu— err, I mean fan..? ?
  12. Possibly.. although we’ve been hearing tidbits about new Music potentially coming sometime in the not-so-distant future.. plus there’s that Netflix docu-series that’s supposedly happening sometime who knows when.. but I don’t think an artist/band necessarily needs to do the SB strictly to promote a current/upcoming project.. what did Beyonce have to promote in 2013 other than a tour? (Janet can do that) what did bruno mars have to promote in 2016? what did Katy Perry have to promote in 2015? (Prism was released almost a year and a half prior) point being Janet doesn’t need to SB stage to promote a project, although I’m sure she’d take sweet advantage of that platform and push some project.. janet could announce a new tour and album this summer.. we’ve no clue
  13. Yea but we’ll see what happens.. apparently the super bowl will be broadcasted on CBS next year so knowing that now makes me think Janet doesn’t have a chance next year...
  14. Considering the Super Bowl will be held in Atlanta next year, I really like Bruno Mars’ idea for the Halftime show to be a collection of hip-hop artists from ATL and think it would be pretty dope if orchestrated correctly.... with that said... I hope it doesn’t happen and that the NFL and Pepsi extend an offer to janet to finally give her the full Halftime stage to herself.. they had to have seen that this years Super Bowl was the least watched this entire decade and they must want to go the opposite way next year and get the highest ratings ever....and they can surely do that by having Janet take the Halftime stage once again and shutting it down.. my only concern is that even if the NFL/Pepsi asked Janet to do it, I think she may just turn it down and continue living her life... hopefully that’s not the case though.
  15. Oh ok 119 for some reason I was think 190... and Norman I did research it by posting it on here knowing your ass will come in with whatever confirmation or correction it deserved cuz I wasn’t in no rush and now boom we all know = research (thanks)
  16. And didn’t Unbreakable debut around 190,000 copies first week with zero promotion, let alone a Super Bowl Halftime show and 4 music videos before the album is even released..??
