  1. Again agree to disagree. By your logic explain why TBTILAF made it to the Unbreakable tour. It's no long a number ones tour. Explain why Throb made it...it also was never a number one or widely known song by the general public. STCML was her & JD's first real establishing of a connection. It was a larger hit then some of the other songs that have made it. If you can't see the logic I can't help you. It makes perfectly clear sense to me. The set list has He ability to change saying it would be too long is a bull shit reason why it didn't make the cut. That's when you change things out & replace them. It's not there because she didn't put it there plain and simple. That's the bottom line. Not because it would be too long. TBTILAF could have been scrapped for Unbreakable - I highly doubt the avg casual fan wants to hear it. She dusted it off and took on the road YET AGAIN. Did you forget she omitted Pleasure Principle for a bit? As well as IGL? Soooo why not put it there then? 24play is a wish amongst fans & not specially you or that other one...but many wouldn't mind seeing something new. Feel what you will but it is what it is. Edit: how is this even a debate when she's literally dusting off a song like State of the World (unless she's doing something new with that title) to build a whole tour around it?! Do you think the GP knows that song? Do you think ppl KNOW Janet for State of the World? Is using IT as a theme and adding IT into the setlist (if she does) going to make her set list too long? Is that why it hasn't been back till now? She's an artist. She can do whatever she wants.
  2. Lol that can also be considered an EP it's more about timing than it is the number.
  3. there's a thread about if you could build the perfect janet EP how would it sound. It goes more in depth.
  4. A couple are good but 24Play is my favorite of them, also personally I don't feel like State of the World is epic although I do love her vocals at the end of the song. I never would have thought it would be revisited. It's relevant lyrically & a great message lyrically but overall not a song I'd expect to be at the forefront.
  5. The possibilities are endless. She's an artist, a lot of fans don't like to think outside the box because they think it's an attack on janet or some expectation & not just a conversation. "I've been listening, keep the conversation going." - you know what's funny about that? A lot of fans use "from her lips" when it's convenient but she also made that statement "from her lips" & those same fans try to silence the conversation when it doesn't fit in the mold they feel is best.
  6. Just imagine if she mixed it up, how would fans feel walking into an arena not knowing WHAT song she might pull out. If we heard a song we couldn't believe...it's like a reminder how extensive the catalog is. I want her to even keep ATAP
  7. Oh I completely agree it's a crowd & fan favorite. It's a dance number I would love to see the SNL version of it today if it's performed because it was so on point. Maybe a tweak here & there. Nonetheless, my point is if she can do throb she can do many others too
  8. I get it, but at this point she can grow. She can do it and no one would argue AT ALL! She's done a good job with some of the remixes on Unbreakable tour. She really is amazing at it, but FHTF SHOULD be performed more, STCML, Go Deep, Because of Love, I Want You just different options & some medleys are cool but I'd love to see some song longer. Keep IGL it left us for awhile.
  9. RIIIIIGHT?! The fact that someone would say - "it's not 1995 anymore" as if it was still 1982 - when Janet sang Say You Do or 1993 when she sang Throb which is ALSO not a GP song. Like the logic is not there, my points get attacked because their not "biased" praises. NOT TO MENTION, Thob has less views on YouTube as a song than 24Play does - whether that's throb live or just the song - soooo again popularity isn't the determining factor.
  10. I'm not arguing I'm also discussing. You call it baseless yet there's more proof to it AT THE CURRENT time than there is proof against it. I think to have been a Janet fan for 23 or more years at this point you tend to see behavior patterns. I don't need other artists as a reference point for something Janet has shown consistently. There's things other song writers & artists do that Janet would NEVER do. That's an apples & oranges comparison is my point. Stick to Janet & like I gave you examples, give me examples of where she has done the opposite. If she starts on this tour, which I hope she does, I will retract my statement - but UNTIL she does the point seems pretty solid. "Read between the lines"
  11. The tour it supported is over. Fuck outta here. The point is relevant and it remains, Make Me was called a number 1 because it was on dance charts ask anyone around if they know of Make Me. A flop is relative. You might not know this, but during Design of a Decade Janet was on top of the world - that classic look of 24Play is nostalgic for many who connect with it. Many fans would appreciate it like ppl got excited over When We Ooo
  12. Great point. When We Ooo was very well received, and performed great! I really liked the choreography. Not to mention you could hear the crowd going off. Imagine that with other songs. Remember how the OLD songs were received. There's no excuse it's just not being done. Throb is a great example as well because it's not a GP song - we love it but that's definitely for the fans.
  13. See this is the thing, I understand that but there's just a way to venture out without losing out. It really is. There's so many artist with massive hits. It actually benefits Janet more to mix up her songs because it keeps fans wondering will she do it this time, & let's go to see. If you know what she will perform you lose the element of shock. Janet has a catalog that is actually BETTER than some of her most popular hits - it's almost an injustice for her not to tap in. Her legacy of being a sexual artist is being reformed right now & nows the perfect time to reintroduce the people to the music.
  14. We can agree to disagree. Janet performed even on this tour TBTILAF with Luther but never performed Someone to Call My Lover. I'm willing to bet less Janet fans go up for that song than they do STCML, I'm also willing to bet more of the GP knows STCML than they do TBTILAF. It's difficult to create setlist I'm very sure that's true but leaning on the same songs doesn't necessarily give you variety. 24Play is known by a lot of people from the older fans because they remember the video. A lot of people remember Janet doing that "LOOK" & she can even play the video behind her to "refresh" their memory. Not to mention during the intro of the band on UCAP tour she would often sing the background part of Because of Love live (do-do-do...ddo-do-do). So with us having seen CBTM on every tour but FHTF on 1 tour it's partially her not mixing up her setlist & the other half "I feel" is because it's connected to other memories - STCML.
  15. Kaytranada did the "If" remix, do you like it?
  16. Lol no one playing? Too distracted by the tour?! Lol this could be fun!
  17. Lol, you said "by that logic Shania Twain..." my point is: no - that logic has nothing to do with Shania Twain or anyone BUT Janet Jackson...her behavior patters, her words about her music, & her there track record. Janet hasn't cared what you got out of Someone to Call My Lover - she has not performed it because of past things maybe it will change but it would be abnormal for her if it did All artists do not operate the same or off the same principle that's what makes them different.
  18. hey! Did you use resale or were you able to get it out of the que?
  19. I had the same issue. I had to buy a resale ticket & I'm not overly excited about the seat. I've always been what feels like closer than this. I'm still on the floor but like 20 rows back smh. I usually make out great but it took me 3 hrs of trying
  20. She has mentioned some Brazilian music. I've heard some I think she could really work with. She's said that the closest she feels she's come to this is The Body That Loves You. I love that & Promise of You has that same kinda vibe. Idk how many ppl are familiar with KING but there's a couple songs they have that Janet could benefit from the sound - Carry On & Mister Chameleon too
  21. I'm so fucking mad because every time I go to pay for my ticket they're saying something is wrong with the server. I'm already paying higher than I should be. I'm so mad I missed preorder. When I checked it was over. All these ppl who don't intend to go to the show selling seats for 350+ it's ridiculous. This is the worst ticket buying experience with Janet I've ever had.
