Illi
David Hew? Am I out of touch cus the dance craze seems to be dead too. I don't think the dead but it's definitely dying. The last EDM song to hit #1 was We Found Love. It still does well, but it has clearly peaked. And Euphoria (the Eurovision song that is) is the shit. It's actually EDM done right. RedSimba
Heck yes, now I just need R&B to take over again (I guess JT is a start lol).
Reyna ♔
Heck yes, now I just need R&B to take over again (I guess JT is a start lol). If he has to be the start, I want it to stay in its coma.
Rock & Roll Hall of Game
If he has to be the start, I want it to stay in it's coma. agreed. but it won't... Beyonce ruined it for us all ... now everyone is either gonna follow her (rachetness)... I think Lady Gaga should go the JT route... instead of ARTPOP will be “a multimedia experience.” as she called it

Shawn1814
R&B is still around but the youth of today don't care unless there's a corny rapper attached to the song. And JT didn't bring sexy back and he damn sure didn't bring R&B back.
KlaSh-E
I'm ready for some EMO POP again... Quality dance tracks that actually have some depth.... Black Eyed Peas and the likes ruined pop dance

bu.
Good music has always been there...you just have to look for it. Once you find it the bubblegum pop scene doesn't matter to you. PS I love Daughter's new album.

Kishi
Bubblegum pop (like the Spice Girls) is fun, cute, and energetic. I'm here for that. The dance craze is fizzling in mainstream pop. Sure there will still be random DJs and international acts that drop random singles with random chart success, but the diversity and variety is creeping back on pop radio. Let's look at today's top 15 on pop radio for example... 1. Thrift Shop - hip hop 2. Daylight - midtempo pop 3. When I Was Your Man - ballad 4. I Knew You Were Trouble - dance pop 5. Don't You Worry Child - dance pop 6. Sweet Nothing - dance pop 7. Scream and Shout - dance pop 8. Suit & Tie - R&B pop 9. Stay - ballad 10. It's Time - adult contemporary 11. Feel This Moment - dance pop 12. Catch My Breath - pop rock 13. Troublemaker - pop 14. Heart Attack - pop 15. I Will Wait - folk pop
