  1. 1. Who is better?

Fantasia by alot, I love them both but JHud stays trying to be "hot" when with her voice she should be outside of the box like Adele. DreamGirls is the best album she's done to date. Fantasia's outside of the box (for the most part, that 2nd album is VERY in the box, so she learned from experience)

I feel like all we get from her now is forced smiles on random red carpets. She could conquer the world with the right team.

EXACTLY, she could rival Adele with the right team and music if she understood her sound instead of trying to be "hot" musically. NO beat complements her voice the way a big band sound does (tis why I love her "Feeling Good" remake more than most.

J. Hud is readying her new single produced by Timbaland. I agree the live instrumentation suits her voice far better.

(cringes) :sigh: , literally exactly what I'm talking about. GOD I hate that she don't get it, and like with her new song/video with T.I. it was good and she looked great in the video but damnit she shouldn't be tryin to be that chick, she could be so much better. But alas what we forget and she is HOOOOOOD, and she wants to be HOOOD, but yet the chick is on her knees to play Whitney & Aretha, homegirl should lead by their example, both are/(were for Whit) hood as all hell, but knew how to be universal.

There was nothing hood about that video or song.. That song actually fits her more because of the old school vibe. TI was just used for radio play on the pop/urban stations.. He's not on the song when they play it on the old school R&B stations..

Im not saying because she's hood she only makes hood music (like I love Think Like A Man too and that's not hood) but it's very..."current/average", wheres I'm saying is her music should be timeless not sounding like everything else on the R&B radio. This new song she does with Tim may be really good, but I think she's too good for strictly current R&B like Spotlight (tho I love it), If this isn't love, & Where You At (tho that bridge is awesome, but the rest of the song, eh.)

I feel the exact same way about Kelly Price (who if JHud keeps following whats to continue following "whats current" instead of her own sound, will end up looking like in the music industry).

Ignoring the irrelevant artist you named... I agree... JHud needs to stop following the current and ride her own wave.. I feel like she's trying to hard
