wtf happened to her? where is she anyway?

aint no telling with her. sometimes she is just to artistic for her own good...she probably has a bunch of new material, but she probably doesnt want to release it through these shady record companies. Or she hasnt been inspired to write and knows that the music industry is really dead, so whats the point. Who knows boo, who knows... :sigh::rolleyes:

She's working on a new album

and this is one of the reasons why i LOVE fiona

n 1996 Fiona Apple's debut album, Tidal, was released. "Criminal," the third single, became her breakthrough hit. The song reached the top forty on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and garnered a great deal of attention, mostly due to its controversial Mark Romanek-directed music video.

While manager Slater says he considered the clip a "tribute to [director Gregg] Araki and [photographer] Nan Goldin", some interpreted it as a "sex tease".

Years later Apple said: "The shit that got me popular was the stuff that I was not proud of... I wanted to be like every other girl you see in videos, and that's why it's embarrassing." ... Years later, she said that the video fit with the song and that it was "beautiful."

While accepting the 1997 MTV Video Music Award for "Best New Artist", she proclaimed: "This world is bullshit, and you shouldn't model your life on what you think that we think is cool, and what we're wearing and what we're saying", referring to the mainstream music industry.

She quoted Maya Angelou: "Go with yourself".

Some considered her remarks hypocritical, seeing a contradiction between her appearance in a risqué music video in only her underwear, and her telling young women to ignore celebrity culture. She was unapologetic, however: "When I have something to say, I'll fuckin' well say it".

R&B and POP music, definitely.

introduced us to Timbaland and Missy ^_^

wouldn't say that she changed the music . If anything she helped Missy and Timbaland get a bit more exposure and cross over appeal

Janet was already doing pop R&B anyway and she was way bigger

but will it ever be released. you know how Ms. Fiona gets

IT was supposed to come out this year but i doubt it -_-

Again,do some research ..its far beyond her making some producers more popular..are you serious?
