Mr. Wonder
Robert Smith of The Cure On your Web site, you cite En Vogue as a band you like. Can you honestly tell me when you last broke out the Funky Divas album? A few years ago, my CD collection had grown to such insane proportions that I gave away about ninety percent of them. The ones that were left I listed on our Web site. I kept the En Vogue album because I really liked it. Some of it sounded like Janet Jackson -- I like some of her stuff. But I wouldn't say I'm a fan. It's partly tongue-in-cheek. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/robert-smith-draws-blood-20040630
Pez
I did an interview with Ciara back in March before she came to Australia and she praised Janet and MJ when I asked her how she admires them. I asked her about the Feedback remix and a possible colabo with Janet too. I will post the audio soon

Mr. Wonder
Crystal Kay, Japanese "J-Pop" star Influences: American pop star Janet Jackson is Crystal Kay's most influential musical artist. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Crystal-Kay-クリスタルケイ/22947357206?v=info The personal highlight of Kay's career so far, though, she says, is her unexpected trip to Los Angeles to work with legendary producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, famed for working with her idol Janet Jackson. Kay's aural diet of U.S. R&B, soul and funk — "Michael and Janet were my idols," she enthuses — was enhanced when she started listening to Japanese music at the age of 11 as artists from the stable of producer Tetsuya Komuro hit the top of the charts. http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/fm20091016r1.html And ppl try to say Janet isn't worldwide. Escapade
Meagan Good: "My Sister Is Like A Young Janet!" "We have been working really hard to finish the movie. Yesterday we stopped at 3AM, today we ended at 5AM. But, I wanted to take a moment during a break to speak to you all because I am a proud sister. La'Myia started off on the singing route and I went the acting route. When we were both little girls we both wanted to be actresses and singers, so it is kind of amazing that our dreams came true. La'Myia after a few years with Isyss and after having a #1 record with Jadakiss, my sister is finally embarking on her solo career, which is something she has always wanted. Although there isn't a whole lot of choreography in this video, she really is like a young Janet Jackson. The way she moves is incredible." http://globalgrind.com/music/meagan-good-my-sister-young-janet

Escapade
Rising R&B star Keri Hilson fondly remembers what it was like to be a fan of Janet Jackson or Whitney Houston and have them disappear between album projects. “I loved when you missed an artist and when they re-emerged, you saw changes,” Hilson said. “But now you don’t really recognize the changes because you see them every day.” http://www.mjsbigblog.com/idol-headlines-for-082311.htm
