(PHOTO: REUTERS/FRED PROUSER) Actress Taylor Schilling, star of the Netflix series "Orange is the new Black", arrives at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's annual luncheon in Beverly Hills, California August 13, 2013. Filming for Season 2 of OITNB was completed at the end of January, which has led many to believe that Season 2 will be landing on Netflix sometime in spring 2014. However, Netflix has refused to release any precise information on the premiere date as yet, and it seems cast and crew have been sworn to secrecy with no-one giving anything much away. Matt McGorry, who plays John Bennett, has leaked a bit if information with some social media posts recently, however, he was super careful not to give anything specific away, which only added to the rumors and speculation. A few weeks ago he previously posted: "Suiting up as John Bennett for my last scene of#oitnb season 2." However, he quickly added, "#ImAWeirdo FYI again—this is NOT a spoiler and indicates nothing about plot or when the show will be released (which no one knows the answer to)." Other blogs have suggested that Season 2 will be released in February, however, with Netflix's other hugely popular series, House of Cards Season 2, coming out on Feb. 14 it is probably more likely that Netflix will wait a few months to fully promote the political series starring Kevin Spacey, before launching into a massive Orange is the New Black Season 2 promo campaign. Even though the cast and crew behind the series have been tight lipped about the premiere date, they have been freely talking about how amazing the new season will be. Danielle Brooks who plays Taystee on the show boasted about the writing, saying: "The writing was amazing before and it has gotten even better." Recent spoilers have indicated that whereas Season 1 focused primarily on the story of Piper Chapman, played by Taylor Schilling, Season 2 will instead open up the storylines to various other characters on the show. Numerous inmates will have their stories told in depth, and the histories of multiple characters will be explored more fully. Schilling herself has said, "All of the characters and all of the dynamics are just going deeper. It's just getting fuller and richer and to me, more compelling."
