  1. The title track has finally hit me. And it's hit me hard! I haven't fallen in love with the album, but aside from three or four tracks, I can listen to this daily. I need these tour dates Stefani, soon!
  2. Yes and yes. Unbreakable smartly took elements from all albums and brought something completely different to the table. This album gives me experience, joy, pain, wisdom, and reflection. It's so easy to go back to each album and appreciate what they offer. Unbreakable is like a big summary of her life and career.
  3. Everyone gets a creative drought. The whole release and her explanation of creating DJ is giving me "commitment to label" vibes. I feel like she did it to satisfy the label, especially since AFY was a success. I love the album, but she had nothing groundbreaking or different to offer, except letting us know that JD was hitting dem walls all kinda ways right.
  4. YAAAAS to all of this. When it comes to topics of culture and religion, it just makes me uncomfortable. There's too much lack of knowledge and assumptions.
  5. Ditto. Only way it's happening if she hires one of you.
  6. Yasss for the gaycat!! Manchester is one of the places we have a residency at, remember?
  7. Gaga is way more talented than Madonna. I'm glad she said that she doesn't want to be compared to anyone anymore. I'm tired of it too.
  8. I'm here for both of these as well. I love those transitions!
  9. It's finally getting better. The first few episodes did nothing for me. This past episode was my favorite.
  10. This album is very relaxing. More of an alternative, adult contemporary sound. Not as instant or mainstream as her past efforts. I'm on my second listen and I definitely love Diamond Heart, A-Yo, Dancing In Circles, Perfect Illusion, Just Another Day, and I'm soooo into Hey Girl with Florence Welch. I like John Wayne, Grigio Girls, and Come To Mama. Angel Down, Sinners Prayer, Million Reasons and Joanne are OK. Her performances on SNL were the tea! I'm excited for her Superbowl performance and I know this tour is going to be great. I'll be there! And I honestly think "Perfect Illusion" is a great single. IDGAF if it wasn't a monster hit on radio, that's the sound I like from her. I like when she does songs with rock/alternative influences like that and I loved the jazz she did with Tony Bennett on C2C. I think it's great to branch out and experiment with other genres. That loud ass EDM electropop sound was getting dated for her.
  11. I doubt Drake would make fun of mental illness. Those lyrics don't give me that either. I'd hope he and any public figure know that it's not OK to do so as well.
  12. When I first heard this movie was being made, I was excited because SOC left A LOT out. Of course movies have time restraints and NWA had a lot of people involved, so I understood that. Finding out that it was on Lifetime worried me, because their movies are horribly acted, scripted, and edited. But I have to say, this was one of the BEST movies I've seen from Lifetime (Prayers For Bobby is up there too, such a touching film). What I loved was Michel'le as a narrator, that gave the movie an edge over the other biopics. And I didn't feel that any of the actors were acting, I felt the entire cast did their best to embody the character they were playing. I have to really give a standing ovation to Rhyon Brown, the one who played Michel'le. She did her thing and owned the lead part, really great at emoting. She did a great job at pulling at my heart strings and making you believe she is Michel'le. But the REAL gag is that she actually did the voice herself! At first I thought Michel'le dubbed for her, but just watching the both of them on the The Real proved that it was all Rhyon. I liked the entire cast, of course them being attractive does help. Lifetime raised their bar, but they still have a long way to go. Great job to everyone involved!
  13. I'm coming back to the UK in late December. Hopefully she's still in the UK by then. And we need to start rehearsals for our co-headlining tour. That's Central London in Lisson Grove, across from Regent's Park.
  14. This conversation interests me. After 9/11, I took an interest in Islam to learn for myself what the religion was about. It felt like media and society were using the religion and it's followers as a scapegoat. The amount of stereotypes and generalizations that plague Islam and Muslims disgust me. I wear a lot of ethnic traditional clothing from West Africa, North Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent. I'm always getting looks and questions about my faith, religion, and background. Sometimes people genuinely want to know because they're fascinated by what I'm wearing, but many times they start to ask me questions about the culture, society, and religion of these areas and many of these questioned come from a place of ignorance. I can't answer these questions and speak for groups of people. Muslims are of every race and background, just like Christianity. Every person practices their faith differently and each country has many ways of dealing with religion, so it baffles me when people make assumptions and emphasize how "different" each religion is, when they all have so much in common. At the end of the day, Janet and Wissam are married. They're having a child. She is allowed to wear whatever she wants and say whatever she likes. We have to live and let live. Be happy for them! What faith they practice is irrelevant, it doesn't affect any of us. She looks like such a cute ninja teletubby!
  15. No Sleeep Well Traveled Take Me Away Damn Baby The Great Forever Night Unbreakable Lessons Learned Love U 4 Life 2 B Loved My Top 10
  16. I hope you enjoyed your birthday Rocco.
  17. Lord knows I love Bruno, he's my husband. But I just can't get into this. I know the album is going to be great, so it'll make up for this. And I pray that I don't hear Uptown Funk again.
  18. I definitely like it more than Control and slightly more than janet. Well Traveled is always stuck in my head.
  19. It's a placeholder. It's happened many times before. And it often happens with rescheduled/postponed dates, if they don't have a confirmed date. Take a deep breath everyone.
  20. I listened to Blonde while cleaning. I'll have to give it a proper listen.
  21. Flying up to New York to see ha at the Global Citizen Festival. My 5th time seeing her live. #KissItBetter
