  1. I'm confused... do you NOT want the video to be released or something?
  2. Thats pretty cool... Obviously using MYM as a way to establish the time period (late 80's/early 90's)... Hopefully they use the song in the actual movie, even if it's just for 30 seconds.. T4P!
  3. so my current (and final) prediction of when the Dammn Baby video will be released is Janet's 50th bday next month!! I swear if it's not released by midnight May 16th, then it's a wrap for any hope of anyone ever seeing the finished product... And what a shame that'd be!
  4. Watched Deadpool for the 2nd time last night (once in theaters and at home last night)... Pretty good movie, funny, lots of action...and my girl was surprised to see Ryan Reynold's cock n balls flopping around during one nude fight scene lol..
  5. Have you guys noticed how prominently she uses the Black Eagle imagery..?!? I mean it's damn near a direct ripoff from Janet!! peep the video below... Black eagle imagery starts around the 2:12 mark...
  6. I just read that it took 72 songwriters to make this album..!!!
  7. Yea he was the creative director and was the one who came up with what songs were performed by the dancing troupe.. It was also his idea to have Janet erased from the Scream video so she could do the dance on stage alongside Mike (although I would think Janet fed that idea to Gil to expand on).. So not to hate on Gil too much.. He's had a handful of hits in the last 12 years, but more misses imo.. Although when he has bigger budgets at his disposal he usually comes up with some pretty cool shit, so I'm sure cost restraints have hindered him a bit..
  8. agree with pretty much all of it... Janet's creativity bar has been lowered time and time again in the last decade... Although I will say that I LOVED the VMA tribute that Gil directed for MJ.. Looooved it! So he gets points from me for that!! but yes like you said, a lot of times he doesn't know the audience he's creating for.. All your examples are valid in my eyes..
  9. yea this is what I started with.. I have more completed already but not sure if I'll finish it.. I was thinking it was going to take me a while to get all the way through it lol..
  10. this is my opinion, but I think Gil had a lot to do with it (if not all of it).. I just can't fathom that Justin Timberlake would say to Janet Jackson "hey you know what we should do at the end?? I will rip your top off and let people see your tit!" But I can totally picture Gil approaching Janet and Justin and saying something like "Ya know we should end on a BANG and leave everyone speechless and wanting more!" And Justin was probably like "if Janet is cool with it then I'm down!" I'm sure since Janet and Gil were bff's by then she trusted his ideas.. who knows though... It could've been Janet's idea completely, but knowing her I think she was probably coerced into doing it.. Maybe not as if she had a gun to her head, but after the Madonna/Britney stunt a few months prior, someone (Gil) had to have gotten into her head that she needed to 1-UP the VMAs kiss and really get people talking.. She should've just waited for the VMAs that year and whipped her tit out then... It for sure wouldn't have been a big deal if she had pulled the stunt on MTV... oh well.. What could've been........
  11. that may be true that she didn't come up with the idea of JT ripping bra cup off, but surely she could've vetoed it considering she had to have had to final say in what she chose to do on stage.. It's pretty apparent as she stood statue still that she knew what the plan was.. the closest she ever came to saying what was supposed to happen was to David Letterman ("...I wasn't supposed to come out of it like I did..") ...Although the stunt did actually go down the exact way it was meant to happen, albeit possibly literally one second too soon, according to the statement of the MTV director who was in charge of the halftime show.. And it was JT who said (also on Letterman) that the whole thing wasn't thought out well enough, implying that no matter what happened, it was going to be bad for them (Janet), regardless..
  12. what part did she not have a choice in? Honest question (no sarcasm intended haha)
  13. at that moment in time (and even still), there was this "culture" with big national events where something BIG and memorable had to occur.. Usually meant to only spark water-cooler conversation at the office the next day and keep the topic "trending" before Twitter even existed... That's what this stunt/moment was orchestrated to be.. Why she would allow for any man to remove anything off of her body on stage at an event like that will most likely forever remain a mystery, but that precise reason alone seems to be why so many people were in complete and utter shock about it, which then turned to anger and the blacklisting of Janet Jackson nationwide... NOBODY UNDERSTOOD WHY JANET JACKSON WOULD DO THAT!! And to make matters worse, she coyly avoided answering almost any type of question regarding the issue.. She thought she was helping the matter go away, when really she was making it far worse for herself.. I believe that if she would've been more transparent with the public about what went wrong, then things would've cleared up much quicker for Miss Jackson... she made her bed, and she laid in it for years to come..
  14. Most people tend to forget that MTV produced the Halftime show, and just a mere 5-6 months before the SB was the much talked about Madonna/Brintey/Christina kiss at the VMAs.. Right when it happened, they shoved a camera in Justin's face to get his reaction since he and Britney had recently broken up.. I believe that the SB stunt was meant to garner much of the same hype and discussion that the VMA kiss received.. And (to play devil's advocate here) regardless, no matter what anyone says, even IF she really did have a red lace bra underneath (she didn't), what was the point of Justin ripping ANYTHING off of a black woman's chest in front of 100mil people, families, children, etc?? It completely was against everything that Janet Jackson stood for in her career up to that point (women empowerment, feminism, equal rights, etc).. It was a HORRIBLE move on everyone's part who had anything to do with it.. Even if it went down without a hitch (and it did), she still would've been almost justifiably blacklisted... the point of the stunt was to get people talking, and people spoke, and it backfired immensely!
  15. Watched the first 30 mins of this yesterday and I gotta say a big ol "thanks!" cuz now I don't have to continue doing my multi-can edit anymore.. This is pretty great and some of the footage u got I have no clue where u got it from.. It looks awesome! Thanks again!
  16. my point in bringing up the SB a couple weeks back is to show her history of "non-truths"... In my eyes (and anyone else's with common sense) it clear as day that what transpired was always meant to transpire exactly the way it happened.. The backlash she received should've easily been predicted, but alas was not.. I still don't believe she deserved even half of the reaction that she got, but as a black woman with Dubya in the White House at the time, it should've been better thought out.. Who knows who is fully to blame, but the way I see it, Justin, Janet and Gil all fucked up Janet's career almost to the point of no return.. It astounds me still that she bounced back to hard since Discipline started mending her professional bridges, but she still let Unbreakable sink faster than the Titanic.. I think the moral of story (as has been spoken before over and over) is that Janet no longer has that ambition that she once had in the 1990's and early 2000's.. It's hard to accept but understandable at the same time..
  17. ansolutely agree with everything you're saying.. In fact I think I posted a few of those pics a couple weeks ago.. Good luck trying to convince anyone on here though.. Most folks on here literally think that was a complete accident somehow.. Oy vey!
  18. One time about 6 years ago.. I was working and needed to shit baaaaad!! the only bathroom around at the time was being used (door locked) and so I waited outside the door for about 5 mins, pacing back and forth to keep my shit in.. then right when the guy came out and I started walking in, it's like my bowels just evacuated themselves... All in my boxer briefs.. So I went in, took everything off, wiped up, and threw my underwear into the bottom of the trash can and procedes with my day... shit sucked tho..
  19. the contract MJ originally physically signed maxed out at 33 shows.. AEG Live first publically promoted only 10 shows, knowing they could most likely place the remaining 23 shows on sale as soon as the first 10 sold out.. (Interesting sidenote: Mike agreed to max out at 33 shows so that he would beat Prince's record 31 sold-out shows at the O2 Arena).. once they saw the demand for just the 10 shows, AEG Live knew not only could they sell-out the maximum 33 shows, but even more! That's when Randy Phillips (AEG Live CEO) called Mike to ask if he'd be willing to go up to 50 shows, 17 more than the originally contracted 33 shows.. Mike's response was he would do 50, but only if AEG Live met two conditions: 1) AEG Live would have to rent Mike and his family a secluded cottage property outside of London, so that they wouldn't be stuck in a hotel suite for months on end.. 2) Mike wanted a representative from the Guiness Book of World Records to present to him onstage at the 50th show an award confirming his record-breaking 50 consecutive sold-out shows at the O2 Arena... It would've been amazing to see it happen.. Oh would could've been.. ?
  20. dude Prince died.. Nobody gives a f**k about u then or now.. Peace
  21. Add Bruce Springsteen to that 80's list... We still have him! he's the only superstar male artist from the 80's that's still around..
  22. your actions prove different bruh... Ijs, you've convinced yourself you have actual "fans".. As if you've done anything worthy of such a privilege.. janet would be ashamed of you... go ahead and respond to this so that I can troll you even more (ain't u figured that out yet?! Lmao!)
  23. really Norman? Really?? You must honest to Christ think yourself to be Janet Jackson, herself.. Is that how you build yourself up in the morning just to be able to leave the house...? ? So sad if ya ask me.. and just remember, John Lennon and Selena were killed by their biggest fan....... ?
