Hmmm, I did some research on Barbra. She had her first book last year, it debuted a no.2 on the New York times 'how to' list (it was a book about design). Don't know if it peaked at no.1, but I doubt it.

Has she had a no.1 tour? Not sure.

What about Madonna?

Her childrens book went to no.1 on the NY Times Children picture books list.

Could we argue that doesn't qualify?

I guess it depends if Janet made it to no.1 OVERALL (of all books).

Were any of Madonna's films no.1?

Am pretty sure she was not #1 overall. There's a "Hardcover - Advice" section that she's apparently #1 on.
