The BMI (Broadcast Music Incorporation) Awards will be taking place on August 26th in Hollywood, CA. This year's Icon award will be going out to rapper Snoop Dogg, because according to BMI he is a "fiercely imaginative songwriter, capable of cutting rhymes and wry wordplay".
