I think Freddy and Pennywise (It) are scary in a different sense. In a dream, Freddy can be anything. And Pennywise is a manifestation of fear in the form of a fucking clown. The films didn't really execute those concepts very well, in my opinion, and now they're just jokes.

All in all, I'd vote for Leatherface and his sick family.

I remember seeing the 5th one years back...that little girl was acting her ass off Now the 6th one is a big Avril Lavigne "What The Hell" They lost me not only when they tried to associate his return with the alignment of the stars, but also when they tried to make it seem like Danny was going to flip out like Michael did when he was a kid
