Such has been the case with most artists who, despite varying levels of similarities, find themselves in the same age or genre bracket with stars like Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna. Such comparison has garnered its fair of protest from pop’s other elite vocalists and you can now add ‘Long Distance’ diva Brandy to that long list. History may have seen Miss Norwood make waves almost a decade before many of her comparatives, but she still finds her name listed versus some of the noughties reigning diva set. Speaking with our friends over at TrueExclusives.com, B-Rocka runs down the notion of ‘stan wars’ and rivalries between herself and Monica, among others mentioned. I think Brandy's best point was "uniqueness" appreciating the qualities that make that artist unique, like Beyonce and her wind fan or her screaming yet getting Grammies for the shit, that's unique. Rihanna, how many chicks in the game can sell that many records and their voice is heard the world over but can't speak a lick of English clear enough to cross da border? Not many I can think of. Trust me, MANY ways, when I was making my transition out of liking Bey, the stans had a LARGE part to do with my dislike for her, wheres theres other singers I grew out of but dont dislike or get annoyed of ....I ginuenly dislike Bey and am almost constantly annoyed of her and the cause of that is I'd say 30% Bey related, 70% ignorant big mouth "nobody's as good as Bey" stans, no other artist I dont like has done that with me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I can appreciate most artist and some are more talented than others but that doesnt necessarily mean that their music is better. Music at its core is about vibrations that get you to feel a certain type of way and if you dont feel anything from a particular artist then thats fine, but you best believe that somebody somewhere can enjoy what they are doing.
