Being an island I was a little afraid we might sink I can understand extreme weather but we're so negative about our normal weather. I think we should be grateful to have seasons and the weather really isn't as bad as some parts of the world. Heat all year round would be horrid! This week has been nice As much as its been really wet i think we've had loads of sun since the New Year too...even Xmas was sunny . But all I can say is thank God for the Thames barrier and the fact that I live on a hill My heart does go out to those who have gone through flooding. I mean we should be able to have conversations with people like that without weather, but it does seem to be a British obsession (ironically, I feel us Brits have hijacked the thread to talk about weather ). People seem to be getting excited just because its like 15C this weekend. I was like calm down . Further peeves... That annoys the shite out of me - who are you to try and force me to drive faster than the speed limit if I don't want to?? I pulled over and let him pass. Not here for that.
