Dahrlin....if I brought in Gaga's TV success......it couldn't have been "NOW". And white privilage for or against her....she's got this success...period. And...most of them have put in work into soundtracks to be considered (pretty much everyone I named actually). JHud has no musical or TV success....yet she's trying shes' been trying VERY hard in terms of films over the years, and Bey has very little acting success (nothing prestigious anyway). So unless we're saying Gaga's the only musician who does & has done TV, Film & Music......it's actually a pretty damn crowded ever growing house really. So again....she on top, and basically they all are either trying to or have tried to. Been there done that is actually irrelevant because they tired, period. That's what it's about & it's what it's always been about and no "if's or buts" will do in changing that, it's what is & isn't, and Gaga has all of that, period. There is 1 threat tho.....(I guess I was the only 1 digging) Mary J. Blige, she hasn't won anything for her acting but she's been nominated now for all the prestigious awards and is doing TV now, so Gaga's still the top, but Mary's trying harder more than anyone else right now (as far as we see)

Again though, talent doesn't have anything to do with it. Um.....the point isn't & hasn't been about "right now" (with the exception of the Oscar win) it's about in their entire careers, that's what it's been about, that's why they're worth mentioning. Gaga isn't doing a TV series right now, her season of AHS was like 5yrs ago now....hell Rihanna did Bates Motel 2 years after that. The layout of award wins and nominations weren't contingent on ASIB, it's about all time. And in all time, every singer I named (AND MORE) have ventured into these realms with not much to show for it period, does it mean someone won't next year? No it doesn't, it means right now, in terms of those singers out now & that have, Gaga's the 1 who has this kind of success in MUSIC, TV, & FIlm.....nobody else...yet, but they all try/have tried/Will try, but she's the top cause she succeeded. Does it make her the best at any of it or to do anything singularly, NO, but she's doing it all and she's getting recognized for it all

I'd love to see some links on that 1st part, because the thing is....we all know it takes majority votes to win, but it also takes majority votes to be nominated so I mean a few is cute & all, but I mean it doesn't speak for the whole academy, and on the Golden Globe, she won tho....Kirsten deserved it more IMO, but Gaga got it. Many people complain about & criticize every Oscar win, many people criticize the validity of the Oscars period, it doesn't mean anything unless it's for something that wasn't a critical success, she got stellar reviews for the movie period. She was having a resurgence would be her getting notice for her many realms now Why she's top is that she's beating out people in their respective lanes, and literally no other pop star is a threat to that right now or in the last 5-10-15years. That's why she's the top entertainer right now. It would've been too early when she 1st got her Oscar nomination 2-3yrs ago, now after all she's done, she's owning. But I ask, if she's not the top of entertainment right now, who is? By the criteria I laid out, music, TV, film who's not only being recognized, but winning awards and getting hits for all 3, just curious...

That's my point, that actually makes it sweeter that she started to fall off, and then bam opened up her career path. I semi-expected this around Born This Way, she just seemed to be above being a force just in music, and she kind of reeks of that old Hollywood, DO IT ALL mentality that I respect and that's been missing in alot of these entertainers, they set their hopes on pop & live & die by that fickleness. I knew she'd venture into acting but I don't think I would've thought in the Born This Way days that she'd be so accepted and respected in it (no matter the talent, which I think she has for it). I'd put money that we're getting a Gaga Broadway production soon, and that she'll get at least a Tony nomination.

But that's your opinion though, she didn't get a Best Actress nom for her music, and she doesn't have a Golden Globe win for her season of American Horror Story for her music, my point is no matter what anyones singular opinions are about her talent, she's dominating & winning in every field of entertainment like nobody else today is even close to (love or don't like anybody else) especially in the pop music landscape, and it's refreshing.

She undoubtedly 1 of the best dancers of her generation, that's her skill, she can be a good actress every now & then too.

Has she not now dominated and earned respect in every aspect of mainstream entertainment music (excluding Broadway, but she's got more flex than anyone else in so many things, she don't have to rush for Broadway). There's nobody else that's doing it all and winning at it all (like J.Lo kinda does but she doesn't win at much of anything)

This is probably the 1st time in a good while everything I rooted for won something. Gaga winning tonight slays because the whole A Star Is Born era feels like she's still at the beginning, there's still so much more for her to do and slay. I have been saying it for years she's the top entertainer of today period. I'm beyond excited for what's next for her. Rami Malek is literally "A Star Is Born" I've loved him for years and to see him go from bit parts here & there for years, to a starring role in a series, to playing Freddie Fucking Mercury, it's a beautiful thing. So glad about Spike finally winning, so glad about Regina finally being nominated & winning, glad Black Panther won for stuff (I don't think it deserved the best picture nomination If Beale Street Could Talk did). I'm shocked Glen Close didn't win I knew she had it, she's been sweeping (I haven't seen the movie so I didn't have an opinion on her not winning). And Into The Spiderverse is 1 of the best-animated movies I've ever seen so that was well deserved.

I think both versions are perfect for different reasons (and both great to have sex to). The album version serves the Jazz lover in me with that instrumental, also....the adlibs in the 2nd chorus are perfect yet aren't in the Robert Remix weirdly, also I love her lil scatting for 2 mins in the original too. The Robert version hits that smooth R&B 94 GROOVE, you could groove to that shit in the streets, in the sheets, and on the floor, it highlights her voice. In the original, her voice is seemingly competing with the instrumental for shine (a sole criticism I have for some of her biggest hits, the Jam & Lewis "wall of sound" hides her vocal best sometimes or takes away the impact). The Robert remix her voice & the instrumental complement each other. So I love both almost equally, me choosing 1 over the other is case/question sensitive. And on the subject of seperating the art from the artist, it's a skill, I know what I know, but those songs make me feel how I feel based on my memories, emotions, & opinion on the music not the person, or even what the songs about, I don't have to KNOW the intimacy of the lyrical context to love or hate or be indifferent to a song, & thats me, & I get & respect that that's not everyone, but yea I don't subscribe to "cancel culture" I can despise your actions and your personality but enjoy your work & creativity
