  1. If that title were true it would be a bit cool. Especially if the tour resembles the RN tour a bit and some new addtiones Not to mention another SOTW performance
  2. Sounds more like an aspersion against people judging him and the marriage than a jab at Janet but we'll see "and indeed you shall hear many hurtful things from those to whom revelation was granted before your time, as well as from those who have come to ascribe divinity to other beings beside Allah."
  3. This timing! Watch something happen on Sunday! But seriously, she and Eissa look great!
  4. I can see why those were picked. They're definitely fan favorites. She's pretty consistent so it's a bit hard to rank her performances. At least for me
  5. I think this is the most likely reason tbh. Maybe since she already issued an apology for it maybe she thought defending herself or expressing her own views about it through music would fan the flames more. She stood up for Michael (as she should!) better than she stood up for herself at the time. Great points earlier also! Janet is usually very disciplined with her career moves so it was very odd that she would drop the ball like that. I'd just add that the DJ single choices themselves I think were fine. I just think there should have been more and released in a different/better order. I don't think Janet would have gotten much label support to keep singles and promotion to DJ afloat though.
  6. I would like to see most of those songs performed again! My favorites were State of the World, Go Deep, and STCML. Personally, I think she should retain some of her album tracks and perform them more often on tour. Many of them don't deserve their "abandoned" status . I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought RWU was a bit ahead of the curve though (even if it's a bit underwhelming). Definitely should have done better everywhere.
  7. I've been wanting to see how her songs outside the top 5 fare on Spotify! Glad to see hits and songs across her entire career are represented.
  8. Boy George called the cover of Janet's OG album Control legendary!
  9. Lol they expected too much from people if they thought losing the standard headphone jack wasn't going to make a difference. And no, the adapter doesn't cut it either
  10. Look before you leap then. I made it an honest fact since Britney actually dances and stans for DJ (and Janet) unlike the other one
  11. I'm clearly taking about her clothes and the dancing hence referencing ALL NITE but okay... Fixed
  12. Straight outta All Nite! Who says no one looks to Damita Jo FR though she did a great job! Probably the best of her dancing so far imo
  13. Never been interested in Coachella before but good for Beyonce! Kendrick Lamar will also be a performer too so it'd be great to see them perform Freedom again.
  14. That's such a great name! Congrats to Janet and Wissam!!!
  15. This reminded me of the Trump protester who got punched in the face then got arrested for not doing anything. The officer and that man were totally in the wrong. The fact they just tried to justify attacking another person's child for a nonviolent offense alone...I KNOW had it been a black or any PoC man and a white child that officer would NOT respond in this way and that's the problem
  16. I forgot about Flawless reminded me of Prince a bit Yeah Its crazy when you think about it. His sales in the US dropped severely after 1998. He's always had a large following outside the US though especially the UK and Europe in general.
  17. Even his later music was good. I liked his songs on his Patience album like Patience, Amazing, and John and Elvis are Dead and some songs from Older. Its sad that he's had to deal with so much grief
  18. That's terrible news!! He was a great talent in every area. Such a shame
  19. She sounded so bitter tho lol! The way she said it would definitely get them mad . Anytime someone says Beyoncé can't do something *insert name here* can or "struggles" to do something her fans get an aneurysm. She didn't lie though. They're two different styles of dance and Janet's dancing requires a high level of proficiency. Beyoncé's doesnt. Doesn't take anything away from Beyonce though
  20. Pretty much all of this. The staging and production is just one aspect of her tours. Janet doesn't rely on "heavy production" as much as others do so its inclusion or exclusion doesn't make or break her shows. I'd say she strikes a good balance between everything. I'd only say that she repeated certain aspects too much and not switching things a bit. I like the way she did Unbreakable though!
