  1. I'd definitely watch it! Wonder which of his other videos they would convert into 3D if this goes well. I have plenty in mind lol
  2. I see what you mean. But I think it's a different story with Janet though because I'm sure she could actually sing those notes. People who put those types of videos for newer artists like to include any sort of squeal or random exclamation to make the artist seem like they gave more range than they actually can sing in. I think her voice has always been under-utilized even at its peak. She does have a really nice voice though and she has great pitch control so she's pleasurable to listen to and she knows how to use it
  3. It has aged but like you said now with Unbreakable it's not worrisome. In 20YO her voice was probably at her lowest but a some of the songs still shown some nice vocals nonetheless. Have you seen these videos? What do you think of them?
  4. The combination of this and Black Eagle is just amazing. Great as a standalone too. Really like the production and music I would like to hear the lyrics sung in Spanish or maybe French too. I would have liked to see that sort of thing from her
  5. No one used the tour as a standalone argument or tried to make the argument about the tour so I'm not sure why you keep bringing up the fact it was mentioned. Her tour will help her album push more units. The fact that is successful will increase the likelihood of some longterm success of the album domestically and internationally. Because she a popular artist, her tour success will correlate with her longterm figures for her album. Again, everyone's main focus was the album's sales and it wasn't until you and Joe tried saying that everyone's talking about the tour and not her sales. The tour will only help her figures rise.
  6. Who said you have to be scared? The fact is that you're wrong and got called out. If everyone is saying that then you're all still wrong . No one's checking for Beyonce yet she's was #1 on the GLOBAL ALBUMS chart when Lemonade debuted and AGAIN this week 4 weeks later. "Beyoncé's latest effort 'Lemonade' is still a very strong seller globally, in its fourth week at retail the set moved another 171,000 units, enough for a return to the summit of the Global Album Chart. With a total of 1,456,000 copies so far, 'Lemonade' climbs to no.5 on the year-to-date chart. One place higher on that list, ranks Drake's current album 'Views' with a total of 1,506,000 copies after only three weeks. Right on the homepage too. http://www.mediatraffic.de/index.htm Bringing up an 3 year old album to try slamming one that just came out a month ago....? I'm not even going to entertain that. #DontHurtYourself. Bottom line is that the album IS successful in all fronts. You can have your OPINION but don't pass it off as truth when it isn't.
  7. MY argument was that their ALBUMS were already selling well and that their successful tours will HELP the album move even more units because touring is a form of promotion. Where did I say an album is successful because of its tour? I don't recall anyone saying tour sales equal album sales. No one mentioned tour grosses or anything like that. The only numbers mentioned were ALBUM numbers so the extra information is unnecessary.
  8. Tours help push albums and successful tours help push more albums and singles.....nothing has changed in that department Rihanna and Beyonce aren't Prince (no offense to him at al) They are still in their prime and always in the limelight so they can play in arenas and stadiums. Steaming cuts into pure album sales nowadays but the fact that can still get certifications with albums and single purchases alone (more so Beyonce than Rihanna) is great. So again they are successful no flops are seen
  9. As of May her Worldwide sales are at around 975K https://twitter.com/chartnews/status/735600651569377280 Her 2 platinum certification includes the one she got when Anti first came out so she's obviously close to gold in the US First, she's sold at least 400k in the Us
  10. Rihanna sold 975k worldwide and Beyonce is close to 1.5 million and they're still on tour.....let's not
  11. The Stillboard awards were very boring and unentertaing as a whole though it wasn't all bad Britney rehashed her Vegas show. Figured she would performed "Baby one more time" or "Oops" or something but she didn't. She could have moved much better than she did so I annoyed but not surprised. She just wanted her award and not be there anymore than she had to. Justin's backing track was louder than his live vocals. Back up dancers were more lively than he was. The slew of Teenybopper acts (Meghan Trainor, 5th Harmony, etc) were underwhelming or uninteresting (audience members were even on their phones/not paying attention to some of them). Pink was okay I guess. Rihanna performed Love on The Brain and did very well ( I was surprised she performed it out of the singles she has out). Probably the best live vocal in the show. Celine Dion sang The Show Must Go On and got an Icon award. I think she lip-synced to it but not sure. Nice performance though. Kesha performed and was good too. Ariana Grande performs a song called "Into You". Its a dance track with a good beat but she was basically walking through the performance (think Beyonce @ 2014 VMAs) not that she's much of a dancer but still. The effects were cool though. The Prince tribute started with the intro to "Let's Go Crazy" the. Madonna performed "Nothing Compares 2 U"and Stevie joined her for "Purple Rain" Her voice was shaky and she even seemed a bit nervous at first. Maybe she was emotional...I'm glad she and Steive just sang though and didn't have all this extra stage props she's known for having since Prince wasn't about that life. Rihanna was in church when they sang Purple rain though lol and everyone had purple lights on in the audience that looked nice It was a tribute, I'll say that.
  12. https://vid.me/mM4T she says: "I really respect what she's done as an artist with her career, I look at that as her doing and that's great.". She seemed slightly annoyed but she didn't say anything bad.
  13. Just making sure because you made it seem like he just said this a few days ago or something.....
  14. That was back in February before the Europe cancelations though wasn't it?
  15. Both are among my favorites from their respective albums. Her vocals and beats on both are great too. I wish they were somewhat longer though 2:40 minutes or whatever of music is short when it comes to Janet music. I'll be cheesy and say tie lol
  16. See? Just vocals and a video and this is what happens . Glad they did the video and song because it could have easily been scrapped (especially with their slight differences during the process). One can still wish though!
  17. on Twitter I don't think so. She been trending on Facebook yesterday and today though
  18. That's my main issue with the hologram projects since I feel like he personally wouldn't want a hologram performing songs. People reacting positively to it is great (and a bit shocking tbh). Personally I wouldn't travel to see a hologram of him but I'm sure many will since he was a great performer/entertainer live.
  19. It's all good. Hypotheticals are interesting! It would be absolutely iconic! 1995 VMAs would be the most ideal for a performance (maybe even get the song number 1!). That performance would have people talking forever! Super Bowl would definitely be cool for the Scream performance as well if MIchael could Have been there. It could have also help Michael's public image at the time and maybe interest in new music if it all went really well. Only major negatives think would be the comparisons between them while performing. With just a video and a song there are still people discrediting one another and debate over who out-sang, out-danced, out-did or whatever. A live performance would only amplify that rivalry some of their fans have. Still there would have been more to be gained than lost I'd say. Not having one kind of still makes it special.
  20. Can't Stop The Feeling hit number 1 on the Hot 100 and his 5th since he went solo back in 2002. http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/7370592/justin-timberlake-debuts-no-1-hot-100-cant-stop-the-feeling
  21. Happy 50th Birthday to Janet Jackson!! All the best for one of the best!
  22. Wonder how the remaining episodes will be.
  23. Wow those are huge. They're fit for royalty!
  24. She's even doing the similar imagery too... She's been all over the place for a while
