  1. I know what you mean. But still the song has a wide range and is among her widest in a single song. The high C towards the end sealed that deal too. Lonely is really good. She sounds really nice and I still don't get tired of it!
  2. Were her vocals actually turned down in Scream or is that just a rumor?
  3. She said she's trying to reschedule the shows as soon as she can
  4. That would be cool if they did. It would have been best between 2001-2004 though. Maybe even 2008. They are more similar than people think
  5. Right now, In no particular order... Love Will Never Do Black Cat Nasty Twenty Foreplay Go Deep/Lonely
  6. I would like for her to respond but she usually just pays detractors dust. The Internet won't though. If he felt that way then he should have said something last year so credibility is nonexistent It's not even the first time he's attacked someone like that...it's like he's jealous or something.
  7. I'm glad she recovered, relaxed and considered revisions for the show. I'm sure that they will be worth seeing and glad that she'll unveil them in the UK and the rest of Europe first. It kind of make me excited for when she comes back to the US too
  8. Billboard says March 12 which isn't that far off. The May dates are new shows that were added for rescheduling I think. It looks like there were production issues because the first show wasn't going to be ready on time. People are saying low sales because allegedly some of the European shows were moved to different venues. Idk if that part is true. I'd wait and see
  9. Everything was great from the videos to the performances and interviews to the album itself! Definitely one of my favorite album eras of hers. http://fusion.net/story/263774/janet-jackson-first-reviews-control/ No one could fathom the album when it first came out ??
  10. Well it's a bit over 40 minutes so it's not long. It's mostly mid to down tempo so it's more than likely going to be a grower but in a good way
  11. Epic/Sony, Warner, Blackground, Island Def Jam among others. Might even add Virgin to that list. Ask Michael, Prince, and even Janet herself Whether she chooses to promote her album or not is her own choice. How she wants to distribute that album is also her choice. What she does for her campaign is of her own volition and not having to concern herself with a label's loyalty (or lack thereof) behind her or her project. I don't think anyone would want her to have the issues she had with the last albums (mainly Discipline)
  12. It should be able to just be downloaded for free even if you aren't with Samsung. Though since I'm an iPhone I have to get my computer on
  13. At the end of the day, she did (and still going to do) what she said she would do (music and world tour). It is different and unconventional but she did allude to it a few times before. Honestly it's much better that she isn't promoting on her own rather than her label not letting her which happens often. All eyes will be on her with those meet and greets in Europe though!
  14. That's really sad to hear especially during the holidays. I just hope she feels better however long it will be. ??
  15. It seems like this happens to Janet somewhat often. Especially with her albums from All for You and after
  16. Glad to see that there's some multimedia plans and specials! And for that long too they must be thinking about going well into 2017-2018 with whatever it is they have planned. The album definitely has the legs for it and there's a lot that can happen.
  17. I Like how some of these songs remind me of her older songs. Lessons Learned reminds me of Lonely from Rhythm Nation. Black Eagle follows nicely and (probably my most favorite) kind of reminds me Lonely and Can't Be Stopped. Dream Maker and 2 B Loved transition well into eachother also and both remind me 20 YO a bit. Take me Away is like Someone to Call My Lover meets Just a Little While. Broken Hearts Heal has awesome harmonies!
  18. As of this post she's back at first with almost twice as many votes as 2nd place
  19. So glad she's actually on the ballot!! Hopefully she'll be inducted for this ceremony!
  20. Why is it an issue to hear her talk about her album? For the most part, it just sounds like people want to know what she's thinking outside of her music. No one here is trying to probe into her private life... All and all people just want to see her do well because she deserves it after her hard work. Personally, I would like to know more about Janet as I haven't lived through her prime to reminence/know about it so just some insight would be nice. It's not just a matter of listening but having a nice all around experience with her and her work. Her approach just seems a bit distant and impersonal to an extent. She obviously has so much planned for the album and doesn't NEED to do any interviews and what not but I think it would just add to the enjoyment of the album. Keep in mind it's just a personal preference and her current approach is appreciated and respected nonetheless.
  21. I like that she's doing what she wants and isn't worried about it. At the same time I'd like to hear HER own input on the album and what she's on her mind and everything right now. Jimmy and Terry are always great to hear from though! As far as promoting and interviews she could have a private fan Q and A session or something at least. I understand that her album was made for us fans but part of me thinks that there is a larger population of fans that may not be aware of what she's doing. But the main thing is her music and success and her happiness.
  22. As if Janet even pays attention to what Beyoncé is doing let alone respond to her The writer couldn't even articulate what that could possibly mean...
  23. My favorites kind of change but right now I'd say either Black Eagle or Well Travelled
