What do you consider Janet's BEST vocal performance, on a track?

:o :o :o

I had no idea you didn't like "What Can I Say" :lmao: 28 seconds, daaaaayum!

I don't know, I remember when I first heard it, my initial reaction was "WHY IN THE HELL WAS THIS NEVER RELEASED?!"

For me, the vocals on that song are out of this world strong. I was even shocked by it, even though I know Janet can bring the firepower when she wants to.

I go back and forth between that one and "All For You", but at the moment I think it has a slight edge.

Her vocals aren't strong in that song. She's just shouting.

Here are some of Janet's strongest vocals:

She has resonance in her voice. Emotion. Power, but it's still melodic and she's holding those notes.

LWND is often cited, and I think that's a good one too.

Once again... actual resonance in her voice. She's not just singing through her head or gasping for high notes.

weird how nobody picked Empty yet . Other then some of the songs that have been mention , empty and Island Life are up there for me.

I'd even go as far as include One More Chance here but it's probably due to "stannism" as i simply LOVE that track

Empty too, if we're talking emotion.

On that note, there's also "Let's Wait Awhile," "With U," "Got 'Til It's Gone."

I decided to listen to What Can I Say again to see WTF y'all were talking about and... ch. The vocals/lyrics aren't bad but the music is horrendous. It sounds like it was composed against a looping mix of Windows 98 system sounds.

:asham: Yeah, I've never really been a fan of that song, it's kind of annoying.
