No I'm saying there was no R&B (or Black if you will) that was as popular as Elvis at that time. The first one we had was Michael....well when he was Black. So naturally they took Elvis' influence. As for Madonna, I just want to hear their opinions. I know how to get what I want. I'm not here for arguments based on putting Janet down. :coffee:

Whatever floats your boat

Well here is the girls opportunity to come for my well attached and glued on wig.

Elvis didn't influence anyone (outside of white rock/pop acts that came after him) He STOLE from black artists and became popular because it was easier to digest the whole "rock movement" with Elvis as the face of it instead of Black artists of the time...

There I said it......and I hope you all are able to get a good grip.

I think the record company is to fault for that they put more money into an artist that has an image over substance

remember beauty over brains

that's the way society is

examples

skinny over fat

light over dark

it's a shame but that's the name of the game in the music industry there are so many talented artist out there but records companies dont invest a lot of money into them like they do with the others

i agree w/you
