Claiming ninth spot for 1995 is one of two superstar duets in our Top 10, the mountainous 'One Sweet Day' by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men. The second single lifted from Mariah's fifth album Daydream, 'One Sweet Day' became the longest running number one single in Billboard history at sixteen weeks, a record it retains to this day. The song also achieved strong success around the world, topping the charts in Canada and New Zealand, and reaching the Top 10 in Australia, Belgium, France, Ireland, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Additionally, 'One Sweet Day' was ranked first in Rolling Stone's reader's poll for the Best Collaboration of All Time. The music video features snippets of Carey and Boyz II Men in and around the studio, and recording the song. Carey explained that due to her and Boyz II Men's busy schedules, they feared there would not be enough time to record a proper video. For this reason, while they wrote and recorded the song, they used video crew footage of the recording process. Carey later said that she was content a real music video was never filmed, fearing that no video could truly capture the song's strong lyrical message. Critics felt the video choice was wise, and agreed that the simple concept paid homage to the song's selfless message. 'One Sweet Day' was nominated for two Grammys in 1996, Best Vocal Collaboration and Record of the Year, but lost to The Chieftains & Van Morrison's 'Have I Told You Lately' and Seal's 'Kiss From a Rose' respectively.

Surrendering their first of three entries in our Top 10 for 1995 is TLC whose 'Diggin' On You' leaves the competition in eighth spot. Released as the fourth and final single from the much-loved classic, CrazySexyCool, 'Diggin On You' would be the last track released by TLC until 'No Scrubs' in 1999. Like 'Creep', 'Red Light Special' and 'Waterfalls', 'Diggin' On You' became a Top 5 hit for the group, peaking at No. 5 on the Hot 100. Around the world the song was also a hit, reaching the Top 10 in Australia and New Zealand, and Top 20 in the UK. The accompanying video featured the L.A. Live remix of the song and was given a concert treatment. The CD single of 'Diggin' On You' included a cover of the Tony Rich Project's hit 'Nobody Knows', recorded as a duet with Rich himself.
