Aquaria
Here's my enlightened take on the matter. Gaga's aware of her place in pop music history, and is having a conversation with her influences through her music, in this case, Madonna. Looking back and looking forward at the same time. Don't Be A Drag, Just Be A Queen PS "Born this Way" reached number one on US itunes in just 3 hours, breaking the previous record by Taylor Swift. eli's_rhythm
I'm sooo disappointed. I'm not even a big GaGa fan (I loved her in the beginning; now I'm indifferent), so I don't know why I bought into the hype. It just reminds me that I ALREADY HAVE Madonna. I usually agree with what you have to say but these excuses are just sad. For her to REALLY be Madonna's successor, she needs to be looking forward only. Madonna may have had her "inspirations" and God knows she's never been completely original, but she never so blatantly ripped off a veteran's classic hit, either. Elixabef
As others have said - disappointing, underwhelming, etc. I've loved all the stuff she's released previously, but this basically sounds to me like a competent Madonna cover. Which is fine, but she can do better.
KlaSh-E
it's gonna be just like her other songs... Crap at the beginning then played soo much with a great video and it'll be the biggest hit of the year

Shawn1814
@PerezHilton Perez Hilton I love Madonna, but did she EVER write a single song completely by herself? Music, lyrics and melody without any co-writers? Don't think so!

Dungeon Dragon
It's just really dissapointing considering the hype she made about it since the VMA's last year. SonofBaldwin
Honestly, this song could have NEVER lived up to the hype. That's the whole problem with hype: If you HAVE to hype it, if it can't speak for itself, then you defeat the purpose of creating a great song. "Billie Jean" wasn't hyped. "That's The Way Love Goes" wasn't hyped. See how that works?
