moonlight
If Austin is wrong in his breakdown of genres then I dont see why yall dont dismiss Rihanna as the same. Because honestly shes just been dance pop/r&b with some island twang here & there. The only thing thats really changed from album to album drastically is her style. IMO

janetDAYZ
And my FICO score is good enough to cosign this post. Although we can all agree that Beyonce has been relatively safe throughout her career, she always tries to give something different. DIL, sonically, are nothing like the other two albums. B'day is a story line of female empowerment. IASF is the personification of contrast of one's personality. If that's not artistry, IDK what is. As for Beyonce being one dimensional: Pop - Halo, Baby Boy, World Wide Woman R&B - Single Ladies, Be With You, Yes Dance - Get Me Bodied Hip-Hop - Diva, Crazy In Love Big Band - Deja Vu Funk - Deja Vu/CIL Adult Contemp - Save The Hero, That's Why You're Beautiful Rock - If I Were A Boy, Speechless (specifically the guitar licks) Electro - Sweet Dreams Girls shouldn't speak on things they don't know. And I have enough weight to support a scarecrow but NOT on this one I'm afraid.. TRYING TOO HARD. Im still sticking with Rihanna being more versatile and overall having the better catalogue but Beyonce's BETTER tracks (instead of the ghetto mess) standing the test of time. Shawn1814
No but most of her debut album and the "Beyonce" half of IA...SF can stand the test of time along with "Irreplaceable", "Flaws and All", "Listen", "Single Ladies" and "Sweet Dreams"...maybe even "Hello", [/s]"Scared of Lonely" and possibly "Deja Vu". Well now that you've clearly demonstrated that you are too ignorant to EXPLAIN what makes a song ghetto, let's move on... Let's review: Hip-Hop - Diva, Crazy In Love Big Band - Deja Vu Funk - Deja Vu/CIL Rock - If I Were A Boy, Speechless (specifically the guitar licks) Before I start to make you look a fool, do you even know what Hip-Hop, Big Band, Funk, or Rock music is?
