cause don't nobody wanna hear no damn xmas album from her ass nor is she as big as Beyonce and never will be. Actually she was never a Megastar. She was only I guess a Superstar crackhead

True lmao but holiday sales don't make that big of an impact cause Mary, Rihanna, etc all release around the holidays annual and fail to do 500k first week.

MJB December History:

Breakthrough opened with 729k first week..

Growing Pains - 629k first week

Stronger with Each Tear - 332k first week

She became the first artist in history to sell over 300k or more for 3 consecutive albums

I meant her Christmas album, the one she just dropped. If anyone can sell these numbers during Christmas time then where is MJB's Holiday albums first week numbers?

Christmas or not she just surpassed your expectations. You can reach for the "gift"excuse but get real - not a lot of people even do that. Whens the last time you gifted someone on iTunes or received one yourself? 400k+ in one day and a lot of people are still finding out she released an album. 400k+ in one day and the physical is yet to come out. Continue to reach for the stars but she surpassed your expectations.

MJB has had some KILLER first week sales ! I never expected Growing pains to sell so damn much even at xmas. That was crazy. Beyonce has pulled in half a million first week with b'day, But I honestly think she's trying to go for the 1 Million first week since afew of her peers have done i.e Usher, Britney, Gaga, Lil wayne ... even Alicia has pulled in 700k first week.

Beyonce Bound for No. 1 As Sales Soar Past 400,000

beyonce_chicago_03.jpg

Beyonce’s self-titled surprise release, which hit iTunes exclusively on Thursday evening (9 p.m. PT), has now sold over 430,000 units in just over one day, guaranteeing it the top slot on the Billboard 200 once that chart’s top 10 is revealed mid-week.

As reported yesterday, "Beyonce" shifted slightly over 80,000 in the three hours from 9 p.m. PT to midnight on Thursday evening and on Friday sold another 350,000, according to industry sources putting the total at 430,000. With two more days left in the sales tracking week, the title could sell over 600,000 before the buzzer sounds.

The iTunes exclusive “visual” album, retailing for $15.99 contains 14 tracks- not available for a la carte purchases until Dec. 20- and 14 accompanying videos, along with other bonus video content. No set date has been announced for the CD release to physical retailers or of its availability on other digital download sites.

At 430,000, "Beyonce" is already set to become the biggest debuting album by a female artist since Taylor Swift sold an astounding 1.2 million copies of "Red" in the week corresponding to Billboard 200 chart dated Nov 10, 2012. And if predictions in the 600,000 range hold, the set would grant Beyonce the best debut week- and best sales week period- of her career. Her 2006 album "B'day" started with 541,000 in September 2006.

In any case, the stealth release of the "visual album" as an iTunes exclusive, with no individual tracks for sale and no Spotify to bastardize sales, powered Beyoncé past the 500k mark on Saturday, its second full day of availability, with 600k or more clearly in sight by the time the sales week ends and Apple’s window of exclusivity ends tonight. Needless to say, the album will easily debut at #1.
